Disclaimer - the following is not a 'hate on Cryptic' thread so dont turn it into one
A word of warning to anyone who wishes to 'support' the game by opening a lockbox with real money bought Zen. Roughly 80 boxes yield around 10 Tyrant's Artifact Provisions Packs which in turn yield +/- 1 minor blue Artifact and no, its not a belt.
In short spend your Zen on anything but a Lockbox, even converting 20 000 ZEN to AD and purchasing your belt off the AH is better than opening lockboxes since you get to actually enjoy some bang for your buck. FYI 80 lockboxes means something like 80-90 Euros. The drop rates are ridiculous.

Both 20 and 80 are too small of a sample size to accurately judge drop rates. I'm sure someone has done a couple thousand over on preview, though, and could give a better idea on what the drop rates are, though.
Besides, lockboxes aren't about guaranteed big loot like artifacts. They are a gamble. If they weren't, we'd ll have legendary mounts and multiples of every artifact. You open them and maybe you get something good, odds are, though, you won't make your money back if you try to resell what you get. I'm ok with that. If you want one particular item - and can afford it - yeah, it's cheaper just to buy the item. Like the slots in Vegas, though, sometimes it's fun just to spin the wheel and see what comes up.

Opened around 60 boxes, got 6 packs and 1 artifact.
i appreciate your sharing your experience with the lockboxes.
I typically avoid picking them up and if on occasion they do infect my inventory i usually discard them or sell them for like 1AD per lot.
If these lockboxes manifested in my 'real life" as keno tickets, i would shred them and include that shred with the other recyclable paper to be made into fire bricks.
I got a belt on my first lockbox >.>
Though I understand that was just luck on my part and have yet to get any thing else.

Opened over 40 lockboxes, 10 each day. Most of it was the stupid enchants and runestones boxes. Got 2-3 artifact thingies none of which dropped an artifact instead green/rarely blue refine stones which i already had dozens with nothing to do. Some weird stuff I dont even want to remember. And once I got this 94 tarmalune bars jackpot. Was so happy that I can finally upgrade my lesser vorpal but oh wait. I wasted 4 x 1125= 4500 zen. Well HAMSTER.
Also I got mostly the companion kits. None of which gave anything over green stuff total waste of the zens. I guess it all comes down to our luck but most probably you wont be getting anything so easy
@ the guy who mentioned pvp here for no reason; Pvp players dont have to be trash talky all the time, people just need to grow out of that kind of mentality, and I dont see them talking anything bad here, do you? Just chill and enjoy the game.
