You guys think the dual wielding Dragonborn General in PE could be a hint for the next class ?

Well, I suspect Druids will be next....personally I don't really want more classes, but I guess I'm in a minority.
    Hoping for improvements...

Don't worry too much guys, there is nothing even decided about the next class, let alone finished, code-wise. They are probably working on the next module already and talking about what to do to update DC and TR (and maybe the crappy armor/weapon enchants too).

Weird coming from someone with so many alts. You got tired of leveling new toons :) ? I've played only two characters since Beta and I'll be more than happy to level up a Paladin for example.

I think they're going to take a break when we achieve 9 playable classes.

If that's the case I bet they'll be Druid and Paladin. In this way, only the Thievery Skill will be wielded by only one class.

I'd also suspect the Druid, if only to maintain something of class parity. We currently have two casters, two fighters, and two rogue (or rogue-like in the case of the Hunter Ranger) classes, but only one priest-type. Role-wise, I imagine the druid may be something of a hybrid, providing some off-healing, a bit of CC, and a dash of pet flavor in the form of summoned animals. Shape-shifting would be awesome, but not sure how feasible that would be as a game mechanic.

I think they should keep going till all the classes are released so everyone can play the one they like. Who cares if if it effects anyone as the class balance thing I thing is idiotic anyway, but with online games is all about me me me so what ever. I have 5 classes GWF, CW, TR, HR, and SW. none are the standerd config because I tried to make and play a character not a build, Dwarven AXE great weapon fighter, A evocation fire control wizard (I want to make him a dragon born at some point) "not easy staying away from the ice spells", The trickster rogue half elf is about the most basic as he is the not seen but not to over done so no perm stealth, Hunter ranger elf female mix of ranged and trap feats, And a tiefling Scourge worlock (who in his story made a pact with the god Kelemvor as he is one of orcus offspring and renounced his father to fight the good fight, has the ghost paladin as a companion. Would love to play a psion, a monk, a druid, or one of the other type of classes.

Definitely Druid... or something along the lines of a healer type.

Not only for the popularity (Druids are highly requested) but also because it's due:

    Two fighters (GWF and GF)
Two magic casters (CW and SW)
Two melee fighters (TR and HR)
    ONE Healer: DC

I know that Ranger can be a stretch for "melee" class, but it's a hybrid that fills that role. Anyway, this is my hypothesis.

My top vote would be druid. Next I'd have to say I want to see bard.

This is simply inaccurate. Back before Ranger was released the head dev let a few details slip in an interview. One of the things mentioned was that Druid was "most likely" one of the next planned classes. But the other thing gleaned from it was that the dev team seems to be working on two classes at a time. When ranger was close to release, they already had warlock "50% done" so it was obviously in development as ranger was being finished.

I expect, once ranger got released, warlock got moved up to the primary class. With "most likely" druid slotted as the next secondary class. Now that warlock is complete, that most likely class is nearing its 50% mark. And a new class is already started or in advanced planning stages.

Priest type, healing.. that goes double for the Pala :)

Nah, they're gonna take a break working on new classes now, they were working on Hunter Ranger and Scourge Warlock since closed beta. There is absolutely 0 work done on any new classes, in fact I wouldn't be very surprised if we never got another class at all (too expensive, most of the people working on NW back then are either working on different games or on the NW Xbox port now).

Dont forget Scourge Warlock is also healer, support class. Not with same qualities like DC, but still very viable.
So the next class can be everything, nothing is needed.
I know it wont happen but i would like see GWF+GF merged into one class, where Paragon+feat path will determine the rolle of 2h fighter vs 1h+shield tank. Then brand new fighter can be released. And yes, i can imagine Druid as another hybrid class, where one of 2 or 3 shapeshift form determine his role - fighter, healer/support or "insert role here".

You act as if adding an icon to to the character creation menu somehow compares to the amount of work and money it takes to create a new class... MMO fanboys never understood how much is actually involved in adding a class to games like this, why do you think it took a year and a half for warlock to be made from scratch to release?

I want to see a monk class. By design, they can be tanks, healer/support, or Meele DPS. The whole no weapons/armor with high def and bruce lee punch/kicks is awesome. A second choice would have to be a Druid, because what game isn't complete without the polymorph, healer/dps class.

Dunno if I want more classes (or to be more precise: "I don't know if there are any that might interest me") but I wouldn't whine if some bugs in IWD would be fixed so trying to have fun with what classes we have would be possible (mostly PvP area bugs like broken statues and random "demigod" mobs in entire IWD) without unhealthy dose of frustration.

But on topic: I think I would like a monk, plain and simple kung-fu master (not panda)... huh, that might even make me buy dragnborn pack unless they would introduce some <font color="orange">HAMSTER</font> djinn-like* race

*edit: Genasi was what I meant :P

I've been sticking with my rogue since the beginning personally, I have a few other characters but don't care all that much for them (I care enough to be unable to delete them tho)

There is already a thread for this, where you can go and vote: http://nw-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?700101-The-quot-New-Class%28es%29-quot-Feedback-Thread!

Somehow the druid is catching up with the paladin, and the bard is falling way back.

Paladin will most likely be next. I dunno why people keep saying druid, that's in the PHB2. They haven't even finished PHB1, which has paladin and warlord still to go.

People are saying druid because that is what we were told was next in a dev posting a few months back.

The only reason why people keep saying Druid. Is Druid has been the only class mentioned by the lead dev, as most likely next. In fact it has been the only class called out by name since launch.
