So all the people who don't stand on point (Which seems to be occuring A LOT lately) can go there.

Discuss.

I propossed this for GG battlegrounds: a plain and simple SLAUGHTER. Winner, the team with more kills.

Yeah this is what I had in mind as well.

At least you would know that everyone would be doing the actual objective. Getting rid of some of the solo queue frustration. GOtta love when every one fights off the point just outside of your spawn.

PVPer rocking it Solo queue style since the dawn of Neverwinter

I ran into a person who also posts here and we witnessed that... It was LITERALLY a 2v5. We kept telling them to get on point, I even Pmed them incase they didn't see the chat. Nothing worked, sometimes I wonder if they are bots.

I think the best is when there's like 2 or 3 range on your team about 1 foot from the middle node. There should be collision in this game so you could push them onto it.

If they are actually putting resources into a new PVP mode, I wouldn't want this to be the one introduced. What a waste. Give me CTF or any other mode anyday

I would like this, but much prefer a storm the fortress/castle type game. 1 team defends it and the other sieges it. That would be so fun.

This is a PvE-oriented game!™ May be a storm the keep of a zillion controllable adds with hard CC on every attack instead?

Wonder if creating such threads once per month will result on anything after at least 2 years.

Yes, please, deathmatch, capture the flag, king of hill, new domination maps PLEASE GIVE US SOMETHING ALREADY.

Since Mod 4 there are some classes and builds where standing on point is insta-death. Maybe this explains the increase in off-point behaviour? For instance, and Archer spec HR has no business trying to contest a point. Not only are they squishy as hell but their feats promote being a long way from enemies and their effectiveness is crippled close up.

You also have the issue where standing on point while a CW, SW, or Archer HR annihilates you safely from range doesn't serve much purpose.

    Aelar Hawkwind - Archer
Karrin Feywinter - Mistress of Flame
    Errin Duskwalker - Executioner

Neverwinter can borrow some game modes from FPS games like Team Fortress 2:

    1. King of the Hill - Smaller maps than Domination with only one control point. Otherwise works like Domination.

    2. Capture the Flag - Bring the enemy flag to your base and prevent the other team from doing the same.

    3. Reverse CTF - Bring your flag/bomb to the enemy base/bombsite.

    4. Arena - Kill the enemy team. No respawning. When one team wins, the map resets and another round starts. The team that wins the most rounds after a certain time limit wins the game. This is basically how Counterstrike works.

    5. Saxton Hale/Juggernaut - One player is randomly chosen to be the bad guy, and gets crazy buffs to damage, speed, survivability, etc. Everyone else must try to kill him.

    6. Attack/Defend - One team starts with all control points. The other team must capture the control points before the time runs out to win. If the defenders control at least one control point when time runs out, they win.

    7. Payload/VIP/The Hunted - One player is the VIP, who must make it safely to the other side of the map. The other team must kill the VIP to win. Teams alternate between the VIP and his bodyguards and the assassins each round, and the team that wins the most rounds wins the game.

    8. Team Deathmatch - Kill the enemy team. Players respawn after getting killed. No control points, no rounds. The team that gets the most kills wins.

alot of these sound like fun.. but there are probably too many options that you listed. Maybe they should do pvp hours instead.

Each hour of the day has 1 of 5 different games going on or something.. if you enter in that hour you will play that game.

so that doesnt dilute the pvp pool , but it would be something new to bring to the table.. if you hate one type , just sit out, have regular dom matching for 6 hours and 6 hours on every other hour basis of a new game type or something.

Seems like that would work and it would be super fun.

These ideas would be cool... But let's face it, sooner or later a PvEer is gonna come on this thread and say "Why would they add another mode when PvE is the real reason for this game and PvP only caters to a small minority of player. Instead we should get more PvE maps first :D" So I decided to say it for them.

This PVE'er would not mind having more PVP maps for PVPers. On a separate server. Away from the PVE.
