Collecting "alchemical knowledge" in gatway

I have never gotten the knowledge scroll from experiments using the gateway, only in-game. Anyone else? Is this a bug or just rotten luck?

    It works fine, you just don't see it in the rewards list.
    Check the level-up tasks and if you get it you'll see that the X in "X/Y required" change.
