not enough slots on the skill bar...

I keep running into a mental brick wall. Ever since i unlocked Harrowstorm the bar have been Harrowstorm, Fiery Bolt and Dreadtheft. This because frankly they are the most flexible skills i have on hand (i avoid the puppet spawning ones like the plague, i have enough trailing me with that darn companion).

I keep trying to swap one of them out with something else, but frankly i can't find anything that works. BoVA is pretty much a more limited Harrowstorm in that the effect is centered on me. As such i need to either chase down the enemy or they have to come to me. Yet it does no more damage than harrowstorm. And i can't tell if the curse thing works or not with BoVA.

Vampiric embrace and Wraith's Shadow are single target, and WS don't do much more damage than Harrowstorm anyways.

Cursed bite is fiddly to say the least. As is Pillar of Power.

Infernal Spheres would be lovely if i could tap it again and send all the spheres at a target when out of range of the auto-launch.

And Warlock's Bargain is downright hazardous to use except as a opener.

Problem is that i feel my DPS drops by 50% the moment i run into any mob that spams knock-backs/downs. This because my choices then is dodge (breaks DT) or take it to the face (breaks DT).

Honestly i wish that Wraith's Shadow would turn into a AOE DOT similar to Harrowstorm when applied to a cursed target without the need to trigger it a second time to consume the curse. Never mind that by being single target to being with, doing no more than Harrowstorm makes little sense.

If you have enough lifesteal, warlock's bargain works just fine, you get your life right back. The only time I wouldn't use it is if I'm in the red surrounded by a gang of angry mobs. Then it becomes way too risky. However I only use that for single target (such as dragon HE's) or boss fights. Then I can toss it on the boss.

I tend to play more of a melee temptation warlock with BoVA and hand of blight. Hand of Blight hits hard and fast in melee range. Not to mention it has a stacking debuff. I do get frustrated that BoVA activation time is much longer than I would like. I always end up canceling it since I move by accident. Melee players have to be on their toes. If I have to go ranged, then I swap to eldritch blast and harrowstorm.

Warlocks have a good selection of powers, it can be difficult to pick what works best. Dreadtheft however never leaves my bar.

Fiery Bolt + Curse + aoe packs too much of a punch to not use it. For Temptation it's a huge burst heal, even better when it hits a ton of mobs. Makes VE absolutely useless, which is sad since it supposed to synergy with our capstone.

Killing Flames can hit like a mac truck however it's single target and since end game dungeons is all about killing the billion adds, it isn't as great unless I'm focusing on the boss.

I still can't believe they have a class where you really have to pick and choose what to use, including the feats. There are so many good ones. Hopefully this allows players to start to move away from being cookie cutter.

Solo, I use: BoVA, Fiery Bolt, Dreadtheft. Hand of Blight and Hellish Rebuke

Single Target: Warlocks Bargain, Fiery Bolt, Dreadtheft. Eldritch Blast and Hellish Rebuke.

I think Hellish Rebuke activation is way too slow also.. but I use it since it's a DoT that will provide healing in the form of HoTs.
Banshee (Devotion Justice Oathbound Paladin) - Crueladevil (Soulbinder Damnation Scourge Warlock) - Sindania Balefire (Master Infiltrator Trickster Rogue)

Heh, maybe i should stop thinking of my SW as a ranged caster and more like a melee fighter.

Comboing BoVA and HS in melee seems to do quite well at melting enemies.

but i find that BoVA's curse mechanic downright suck.

It seems to tick at half the rate of the main dot, and have a range just about half that of my at-wills or curse.

Oh and WS is weird. I tested it on the dread ring dummies, and sometimes it would rapidly tick 3+ when applied, and sometimes not. And i could not see any indication that it actually did extra damage on the end tick.
