Well, I just ran VT and got an offhand, after I looked at it I realized it has no set bonus. Tooltip bug or?

It's a bug. The patch on Preview right now fixes it according to the patch notes, so should go live tomorrow.
    Jenna Sunsoul - Justice Tankadin
    Aelar Hawkwind - Archer
Karrin Feywinter - Mistress of Flame
    Errin Duskwalker - Executioner
    Darquess - Soulbinder

They don't want people getting cheap BIS for SW, nuff said.

Also Formorian Fabled is looking to be BIS (unless you get lucky with artifact weapon gamble and upgrade to epic/legendary).

Most people who farm Dread Legion weapons aren't going to buy a weapon set again for that toon.

Seems a bit wrong headed thinking if the other classes have that already.

Mmm no, maybe if I was pure DPS but since I am temptation not even close.

Dread legion looks good but I am seeing the Thayan and even the dragon gear looking better for a temptation lock for early gear.

Yeah, I'm saying it'll be BIS for DPS warlock, which, to be fair, most will likely play. Sure the artifact stuff looks nice but it could take a VERY long time to get the one you actually want, let alone get it to epic/legendary. I suppose Fallen Dragon would be the best option for temptation lock just because, life steal.

I'm also curious as to which boss will drop the fabled offhand for Warlock?

I see quite a number of temptation specced locks. I know in this day and age of huge damage numbers is all that matters it's hard to believe that some people might enjoy being in a support role, but they are out there.

As far as being "useful" in dungeons goes, they're packed with trash, DPS is obviously the most useful way to go here (especially when you rely on life steal so much). I'll admit they've made support roles more appealing lately but this doesn't change the way the dungeons are designed and DPS is a must no matter what comp your group is.

In terms of trash clearing there really isn't much to choose between any of the three 'lock trees.

The fact my temptation lock competes with highly geared other classes tells me you focus too narrowly.
