When you switch instances here it moves you to the other side of the map, which is strange as there's a camp fire right outside the the HE area. This doesn't happen in the other dragon fights so I assume it's a bug of some sort.
Also, Whispering Caverns has only 3 or 4 instances at any time with a limit of 40 people which makes for manic zerging and overpopulating of HEs. It really needs to be thinned out a bit. Other maps have a limit of 20 people and that's crazy enough.

I was going to post exactly the same two issues. I will also add that if you die in the Whispering Cavern HE and are not resurrected, you do not appear at the nearest campfire, but halfway across the map, just as the OP said. It is as if the campfire just outside the HE doesn't count for some reason.
And yes, the player limit of the Whispering caverns is too high...Rothé Valley is bad, but this is worse. What makes those two particularly bad is that they are the ones with the "best" drops- meaning that they are the ones that people will farm, and with a huge crowd round the dragon it gets killed in 15 seconds or so.
A side effect of this is that the dragons get very little chance to do serious damage, which in turn means that it is very difficult to get credit for healing or taking damage. Please lower the instance limit in the Whispering caverns to 20 or so .... (15 would be better, and also in Rothé Valley). It could be increased again in a month or two, once most of the current population is finished with that part of the campaign.
The situation is actually going to get even worse in a few days. Players might have unlocked the Icespire part of the campaign progression yesterday, and will unlock Rothé Valley in 2 days ... at that point the area is going to get flooded with players...and the Whispering caverns a few days later. Today only the players farming those two HEs are complaining, but when more players hit the area, the complaints will increase, so fixing this right now would be a really good idea
The limit of 40 is maybe because of the 2 parts of the map. The normal whispering Cavern and the portal to the mind controller and the 'braindogs' etc..
