Changes To Alchemy Costs?

So I'm starting to level up Alchemy and Artificing to open up some Profession Slots on my new Warlock. I just moved the Assets from the last toon to level up Alchemy (which I did just before Mod 4 went live) and went to finish off the first couple of Tasks with AD (just to get the Slots open, from there I just Level it up normally). What to my wondering eyes now appear? An increase in the costs to the tune of 300 AD for each time, for a total of about 800, up from just a hair over 500 on the last toon. What's more, the price to do so on the Gateway was actually a bit higher than doing so in game.

Is this a bug or a feature?
Maybe some attempt to pull some of the AD out of the Market?
Or is it just me?
