Warlock Quest Line (Spoilers)

I can't recall which level it started, but whenever I started on a new adventure zone, Coralyssa the warlock lady would display a quest icon on her for the warlock quest line. I'm on my tablet right now, away from my gaming computer and my screenshots of the warlock quest line, so this is all from memory. My character, by the way, is Dale Keter the half-orc scourge warlock.

1. The first quest involves no combat, and serves to let the player learn about his or her patron. I was quite disappointed that the scourge warlock's canon patron is Belial, Lord of Phlegethos. I had hoped that it would be left up to the player, since I wanted to play a star pact warlock instead of an infernal pact one.

Anyway, this quest has you going through Councilman Graves's home in Helm's Hold and reading what books he has about the Nine Hells of Bator, with a focus on Belial. You don't actually go to the Helm's Hold zone; this quest opens up Graves's house on the world map, so you go there directly. This is the same house used in a quest in Helm's Hold where you rescue Graves from the Ashmadai at the request of his brother. However, the pristine condition of the home means that this quest takes place before the Ashmadai take over Helm's Hold.

2. The next quest involves killing some bandits headquartered in a disused cathedral and then cursing their equipment to mess with future bandits that may try to use the place as a base of operations. Interestingly, the voice over tells you to curse the cathedral, not the equipment, though the text briefing and the quest text tell you to do the latter. The building is identical to the Rohini boss chamber in Helm's Hold, though if I recall correctly, the world map location was in another area.

3. The third quest has Coralyssa sending you to a camp of renegade warlocks who thought they were too good for Belial. Their punishment is death at your hands, which sends their souls to the Fourth Hell. Their "camp" is actually the exterior of a small castle which is identical to the first part of the skirmish, Straight to Helm. That's some mighty fine recycling there, Cryptic!

4. Next up, Coralyssa sends you to dig up some pact blades that were buried with their warlocks. The location? The Lynching Tree in Neverdeath. Looks like Cryptic stopped pretending that the quests were in completely new areas and not in recycled ones. This is a pretty simple quest. Just kill the undead and dig up the loot. When you get back to your lady friend, she let's slip that these pact blades might allow her to use more of Belial's power than normally possible through planar barriers. Hm...

5. The last quest I got (as of this writing) has Coralyssa opening a portal to a manifestation of Phlegethos, the Fourth Circle of Hell. Upon getting there, you are greeted by hostile devils. Hm... Burn a swath through these fiends, and you end up with the Aspect of Belial (an aspect is like an avatar, a physical projection to another plane). He is mildly disappointed that I am using my powers in a heroic fashion, but that's not why he wanted to see me. Long story short, he saw right through Coralyssa's scheme, and lets you decide her fate. You can kill her and send her soul to the Hells, or you can spare her by fighting a powerful pit fiend (the highest ranking devils below the Archdevils themselves). Basically, someone must suffer for her betrayal, and the pain that you will feel by fighting the pit fiend will pay off the price of her betrayal.

Now, at this point, I role played my character. I'm damned either way, whether I save the girl or not, so I'd rather not fight a freaking pit fiend on its home turf. Besides, I don't think she's into filthy orc bloods like myself. Sorry, Coralyssa, but Belial is much hotter than you. Literally. I mean, he's literally on fire! Belial summons Coralyssa and I murder her, condemning her soul to an eternity of torture. Belial is amused, and gives me a really powerful blue cloak (comparable to a level 60 blue) which looks really cool to boot! Belial then sends me home but not before telling me that I am his female dog and that he can take away my powers and claim my soul if I HAMSTER him off. Lovely.

I take the portal back to Neverwinter and find that Coralyssa is still there. She should at least be set to invisible if you chose to gank her; I know that NPCs can be selectively invisible to players, like the cleric quest giver who only materializes when a cleric is nearby. So, is this it for the warlock quest line? Would I have gotten more quests had I saved the girl? Thanks in advance for your replies!

I chose to let her live and I still got the cloak. No other quests yet and I should hit level 60 this evening.

My SW is in a contract but one he will fight against whenever possible :D
    I aim to misbehave

I let her live too, thinking that perhaps that led to her giving me a final uber quest as thanks. But nah no difference still get cloak reward and no more quests.

While being rewarded for being a kind soul might have been nice, then you would have had all those people coming in and screaming foul that there was no prompt for this and that it was so unfair that they are being punished for not making the right choice, etc etc etc.

Not to mention the right choice is always to kill them all.

Yeah we can't "fight" our contract Belial was in control of that whole situation no matter what we are doing his will either way. We are still damned anyway going by the questing I knew she was on breaking contract levels I highly suspect she was using you considering as Belial said her powers were waning because of schemes.

So I killed her she broke her contract as her she said that is the blood price for breaking it, I am damned anyway and I won't fight a pit fiend for a mistake she clearly know she has made I am not in a hurry to go to the nine hells. What was interesting that Belial thought I did not have it in me it seems Belial likes it when I prove him wrong going by his dialogue.

Still he does say you will achieve greater power not matter what deeds you are doing.
