Has anyone else noticed that when you use the shift key, to skim forward over/past traps, you still take damage? Is this intended, or glitch?

Yeah we complained but they wouldn't give damage immunity to the Warlock like CW has for example.

I have never tested it with players. ( extensively) I do know if I am shift shadow walking player CC do not work ...an Immune message pops up, same mobs that root you, prone you...but I have to be already doing it.

GWFs have their shift because their unstoppable compensates it. We don't have such defensive mechanism and have to endure being somewhere behind the meat wall, while our best encounters gather the dust.

Our shift ability reduces incoming damage if we aren't fast enough and so far from what I can tell also prevents CC effects from hitting you. Maybe I am lucky but when I shift and wasn't fast enough to get out of an area I have yet to be CC'd for my slowness as a result. As for hiding behind meatwalls, dunno what you mean I am typically upfront in the fight, not hiding in the back.

This is history. unstoppable was nerfed in mod4 and now gives a pathetic 4% DR. Devs should have made it zero instead of 5%, but then they would have had to change the animation.

Well, it's just me then, each time I enter the mob encounter
Me: ARRRRRR! *uses vampiric embrace, fiery bolt, blades of VA*
    Adds: ^,.,^
Me: *gets poked to death in a blink*

I don't even mention what happens when I "succefully" land GoH. All adds that have some lunging ability just slice through my defenses even when I shift.

It also depends on how you build your character, I'd guess. 'Glasscannon' doesn't seem to work so well, at least not as Fury. Personally, I'm building for Temptation anyway, but I am most likely skipping Compounded Souls, not sure yet.

I am on the fence with Gates of Hell. One it's powerful, yes, but because of the herpy derpy CWs who love to use all their knock powers and others who do similar things I've had more than a few Gate blasts wiff for no reason other than that.

As far as that I am usually active and mobile constantly, using my curse and vampricing for the bonus HP more than just healing.

I was temptation at first too but then I realized that my rogue would make more damage than my warlock. Just respec'd when I reached the boss. Single target dps of fury SW(much better than TR's :( ) is awesome if you know how to use your powers.

I find it's animation casting time somewhat slow, a bit too slow as well as harrowstorm's.

Dungeons without CWs are so fun to play if you ask me. Sometimes I feel the CW class doesn't let others just to play the game the way they want. Yeah it's good we have a class that can win us almost any battle and mages are strong in DnD but we are playing MMO, aren't we?

Right now, in lv60 groups, I feel like I find more and more 'Troll CWs' that cling on to Shard just to bowl stuff across the room. Shard imo is now on the same reserve bench where Repel and Ice Storm are sitting.

In terms of efficient use of encounters its no longer useful to use Shard, since damage is pathetic per se, the prone time isnt as bad and you do not scatter the mobs all that much with shard.

Probably best to stack Coi, Icy Terrain, Time Steal and Chill Strike, or use Storm , pretty much any loadout with those combos now for a Spell/Thaum.

I find myself doing as much or more damage then I did in mod 3, but I will always miss Shard, maybe one of the single best powers in any mmo Ive played with.

Its also pretty much more of , lay down Terrain, throw anything you want to at mobs and they all die due to procs off passives.

Oh well.. such is life, Classes change, games change, ect.

Im not 60 with my SW yet.. I really love to play it solo wise so far.. but the few Dom matches Ive been in, not loving it, just get CC'd, then death and Im not even doing lvl 60 junk yet. Maybe after Im more geared out and such, Im semi Twinked, but frankly its not helping much. I dont have a weapon with a enchant slot though. Ill keep plugging away , im sure there is probably build that is sorta viable.. it helps not to be in multiple SW teams I noticed, the more.. the worse, since they have NO CC to speak of.
