Hi all! As mod 4 draws closer, I've been checking preview more and more frequently, adjusting my builds and scoping out the campaign. While looking through the campaign window today I noticed that the final T2 LoL unlock (the chest key) costs 20K.
Is this a one time unlock? Will it be purchasable via the regular chest key vendor after we complete this task? While I'm pumped to take a shot at that epic chest, I'm somewhat dissuaded by this unlock. If it is not a one time purchase, 20K seems a lot to ask for one chest unlock especially since we know the drop rates will be along the lines of: 50% on glyphs 10% on everything else except artifact, .000000001% on artifact.
While this unlock does guarantee one of three purple items, these items are not good/valuable enough to even break even on your investment.
Could anyone clear this up for me? Even if it does require that steep investment, I would like a bit of clarity in regards to this issue.

I don't think it is one time unlock, if we check the other campaigns there are "item rewards" that requires at least 10k AD for very bad items, now we can get some good epics, an item required to unlock the last 2 boons, artifact items (belts), etc for 20k each key... At least this items are BoE (I hope so).
Well, considering the cost is less than half the cost of the other dungeon unlock keys I'm assuming they're going to try a "one-key-per-run" thing this time. It's pretty obvious even now that this is going to be a hugely unpopular move because we all know the drop rates will result in nearly every run being a total loss.
They think they're being creative and making an effective new AD sink (or they wanted to do this with the others as well but figured it'd be unpopular), in reality they're just giving us one more reason not to bother running this. They're gonna have to find a way to force us to run this or it's gonna be far down on the list of worthwhile dungeons.
Decreasing the cost to 5-10k per run would probably be fine (as long as the task timer isn't prohibitively long).
It can't be a consumable key surely - that would stop 90+% of players from ever bothering with it.
The only people who would ever run this dungeon would be the top-tiered groups that can efficiently farm it for BoE drops. For anyone else it is simply not worth the cost and effort.
I think you guys might have the wrong idea. At the end of the dungeon there is 2 chests that you can open and one is called a Dragon Chest, And you need a Dragon chest key to open it so if that's what you meant then i'm assuming yes it will cost 20k ad each time you do that campaign task.

This pretty much sounds like the same thing, the regular chest will drop nothing you can't find elsewhere. The dragon chest will have a tiny chance to drop the new artifact items. I can see it now, people paying for this same key 50, 100, 500 times and getting shafted by the RNG every single time.

Hold your mouse over the keys in the campaign task window and it`ll tell you what you can get. If you want the Dragon Set you pretty much need these keys. Artifact weapons come from a campaign task that costs 25k AD plus some other mats but the weapon you get is random. Belt is a chance drop from the Epic Dragon Chests.
When you open the Epic Dragon Chest , the key guarantees you get 1 of 2 Dragon Set Pieces.[2 in the epic skirmish , 2 in the epic dungeon , 2 as drops from the dragons in the HEs]

So it is a 50/50 chance for the item you want?
If so, while it is still RNG (and expensive RNG at 20K a try), it doesn't actually sound unreasonable.

UPD, woops I mean you one time payment, don't need to pay 20k each time you enter it...xD
WTB Class Reroll please

Just a guess: there will be a very little chanche to get an artifact belt from the dragon chest.

Also right now , items from the chest are Bind on Equip. So you can sell them if you dont like them.
