Feedback from devs....

marnivalmarnival Member Posts: 1,432 Arc User
I dont want to be offencive or rude but I have to ask the question about what is happening here on preview and the lack of feedback and communication from the development team.

Tbh it is getting a bit like the wild west lately!

There has been absolutley no responce to feedback from alot of suggestions from mainly the Hr and Gf forum but also from gwfs and sws.

Apart from that the changes made makes you wonder even more... cw buffed compleatly out of control, strange nerfs to gfs, gwfs that was nerfed to the ground only to get change after change that undo most of the nerf, gf that got buffed along with hrs that recieved nerf after nerf.

I know that its a testing ground but its feels more like being a flippergame pingponging around with no idea what the expect next and with the lack of communication from the development team I must say it feels more and more like a time waste to try stuff out and come with feedback that is totally ignored.

I am sure that many us would appeciate a bit more communication of how you think, what is in the pipeline and what we can expect from the feedback given.

I know you are very bizzy with the launch of module 4 but would be thankfull for a bit more communication

best

Singing under part that we need discussion with devs on changes that they do.
HR got dramatic changes first as buff then as nerfs that made those buffs useless -not even close to what community had come to, both HRs and not HRs - as an example. Pretty sure same thing is for another threads.

Hope to see responses from devs about the feedback that they requested and ignoring now.

PS if you feel like you having same issues with devs might be a good idea to sign here.

I ment they are trying to correct to much nerfing with unnerfing without listening much to your suggestions.

Have you ever seen dev communication in the subforums??? You barely get responses in their own bug/preview/feedback forums/topics.
I wouldn't ever expect feedback in a class forum.

I thought that the developers seemed to be communicating pretty well until recently , the past week communication from gentlemancrush seems to have tailed off and panderus hasn't posted patch notes for the last two patches ( Fri and Sat) but graaxl3 seems to be checking the gear thread and bug thread because he fixed the missing overload slots on Warlock Draconic gear and the Artifact weapon materials bug.

There are literally dozens and dozens of posts in the feedback and bug forums by the Devs. And they have been extremely responsive to specific feedback.

Just because they don't respond to every single whine by every single player, doesn't mean they're not "listening" to it. It's just a lot of the feedback isn't based on any sort of facts or actual testing, so there's no way for them TO respond to it.

Look at most of the feedback...a substantial amount is "Ugh, buff this, X class killed me in PvP or "Nerf this, Y class killed me in PvP" without any sort of facts or data...just whining.

When presented with clear facts and actual data around feedback, the Devs have been very responsive.

It would be actually good to know if a new patch with changes on classes will come before the 14th and if yes when. Panderus hinted that it will come but we have not seen it so far.

yes, because distribute broken "buffs" all the time causing terrible malaise among players of different "classes" is much better than listening 2 or 3 buffs requests (or fix) previously justified for absolutely useless skills, which makes certain classes only have 3 or 4 good powers.

yes, is impossible respond everyone (and is not necessary) but not cost anything to understand, through constant requests, which is the demand that has class and work from there (and not an invention not tested super power and, for lack of justification, we never know if it's working or not).

Well we got the patch on Friday that had the CW feat changes , I don't know about changes for the other classes then we got the 8 core fix yesterday but no patch notes for either so we don't know exactly what changed which seems totally strange six and five days before the module launches.

I guess what author of orginal post was about is that devs asked for feedback and at some point all community was talking about thoose changes. So at first devs did some changes -mostly nerf. But there was ' hey, we did this, try please' - in 80% it was side related to what community was talking - like this stormspell from CW that got riducullosly buffed and people were say that this is too much. It is still what it is. Not to start a flame - HR and GWF had and have their issues too.

But main question is first devs ask about feedback - then they do 'internal testing" and based on that nerf everything or buff everything. While community was talking and discussing this stuff a lot. And most important part - suggested way to fix issues that we see now. And people will cry about later a lot. But lets put thoose whines aside at the moment. It would be nice if devs show and explained at least what is behind their idea and how do they see clases mechic work now. Mostly why they did this and this. Not - hey I nerfed cause I have power to do so, but - due to this, like too much healing or too much damage triggered by chill, we nerfed this but changed this and this... Like conversation you know?

This is free-to-play game. It will not exist without players. So maybe players should have some word in what is going on with game. Like someone sad - there was no mmorpg game with this big changes to classes and with so much unclearity on how classes work and why changes are made. I perfectly understand what presser they have now before realease. Been there. Done releases not once. but I havr to say - Id not seen game with so low backresponce on feedback from devs who asked feedback.

It would have been better not to have that patch... now PvE wise it will be again a CWfest.
