Why should I, or anyone else for that matter, ever spend another dime on this game?
The value of a real dollar in this game has been trashed by another unpunished market inflation.
Why should anyone spend their real money just to compete with people who created theirs out of thin air?
Not me.
Never again.
Thanks, i'll just play for free now, or I wont at all.

this thread is another "rage, quit, threat" topic... for sure will be closed they closed my bacon topic without even explaning the violations (it was about bacon)
Bacon might have been why it was closed, in fact it was closed while I was typing up the comment "where does the term bacon come from?" I saw it a lot during the live stream during the maintence and I have to say it does seem to be code for something but frankly I just don't get the implied meaning ... other than strips of meat cut from swine.
Certain things that are known to have hidden coded or even implied meanings can often cause problems ... its like typing "WTF" in a subject line in a corporate memo, sure the sender could have mean "what total fiction" or maybe "where to froloc" or some other meaning ... but the knee jerk from pretty much everyone is "what the *uck"
Without being told how they calculate the number for gear score it's just a rather worthless number constructed by a flawed system. It should only ever be taken as useful if they find a way of factoring in the ability of the player and means by which they obtained the stuff they're wearing.
I remember when the gearscore plague hit wow and suddenly folk with BiS gear were deemed to be bad due to the fact the best items often had a low score due to procs over raw stats. Not to mention you could fiddle the numbers by wearing the welfare epics from pvp. I also remember when blizz killed off pvp in the run up to tbc by rewarding afking and leeching. Took me less than a week to walk away from the pvp there in disgust.
Exploiters who have not been properly banned should get an AD cap applied to their account at least half of what it currently is if not less. Also a weekly cap on how much they can convert into zen and vice versa. If they do it for the money then don't let them gain money. Maybe even create an instance of PE so those accounts flagged as exploiters can only visit that one with chat locked to only that one place. Adjust the ambience to have more guards (with suitable phrases about thieving scum) and no salvager, AD rifts or daily quest givers.
You cant just give them a slap on the wrist, rollback a wee bit then carry on as though nothing happened. They won't learn they'll just shrug and carry on hunting out the next exploit or using one thats not been plugged yet.
That's why I always urge people to join a guild. Playing MMOs by yourself is a sure way to make sure you won't be playing for long. You need other people to keep the fun in the game. Once you lost that fun permanently and there's no outlook on improvements or additional and possibly challenging content.. well, I'd be gone.
Completely agree, I had no intention of joining a guild, but gg came out. I thought it was lame to be required to be in a guild but I thought if I'm going to do it, might as well be in a decent one. Had some games but it died fairly fast, joined another one and it was awesome. The people were skilled, they were constantly running variations of content and there was always something to do. Nowadays that's changed so much, people still log on, but noone really bothers so much to form groups for anything, mod 4 will probably make people more active but it's a shame when such an active guild doesn't really feel too motivated in group playing and just for the most part sort themselves out. Though our guild leader going awol for 3.5 months didn't really help
I agree with OP. I don't have a big problem with this game's cash shop mechanics. Unlike most people, I think they are within the reasonable limits.
My problem is, why should I invest money, time and effort into a game where exploiters who made 100million in half an hour don't get punished? Exploits pop up everywhere and Cryptic doesn't take quick and justified action against the exploits and against those exploiters.
I know a lot of people still playing who exploited yesterday. I know a lot of people still playing who abused previous exploits. They still have their accounts, they still have their exploited profit.
Being that the OP of this thread is an "I quit" post and to remove that post is to close down the thread in its entirety, I'm going to have to shut this down. Sorry.
