I know in the grand scheme of things this may sound like nitpicking, but among all the complaints i see about glitches or "brokenness" of the game i just have 2 small suggestions.
In every major encampment/safe zone within the main zones, why isn't there a mail box? If i level at the end of a zone and there is gear i can purchase, why do i need to run through the entire zone to port back to PE to access the mailbox. Yes there are ways around it like buy the gear before you level and have it on you, yes i am aware of that. Say you're playing the AH while questing and you get mail you have to turn around run through the zone to get it.
Gear preview. Are we going to get to the point when we can get a preview of what it looks like before we equip it. They make it a point to put so many ways to change appearance of gear but don't make it user friendly to see what the gear looks like. Going to the preview server or clicking inspect from person to person and writing down the name of the xmog gear doesn't seem very user friendly. Cause lets face it, once we reach 60 all we can do is play the AH for max currency in our pockets and pimp our characters out for the runway.
For Gear Preview, we actually had this on the table for Module 4 as a possible feature we wanted to do. It was unfortunately delayed for now. We'll get it at some point.
2 reasons.
1. The auction hall in in PE. If you're completing business in New York on the phone with someone in Thailand, you can't expect the people in your LA home office to have your payment shipped to New York do you? You go back to LA, finish up the paperwork, and get paid. That's how business is concluded.
2. I"m not sure if you've noticed -no sarcasm intended- but every map with the exception of IWD is a warzone. You can't expect an auction house to hire couriers to bring it to you, wherever you are. Most humans don't even know how to get to Sharandar and the AH couldn't pay them enough to cross multiple warzones just to deliver a package. That privilege is reserved for people like Knox and Neverember who have soldiers doing that, and they can't very well disobey a direct order from the 2 most powerful men in town. Especially since either of them can just fire you with a gesture and probably a lot worse too.
having said all that, it would be nice if we could retrieve mail attachments wherever we are.
Real world answers to in game problems dont usually work. If I buy an item, I expect to be able to get it delivered. Even in the middle ages this happened.
Please, I can auction an item from the middle of no where, but I cant have another item delivered? Charge a courier fee for delivery based on some pricing scale....2 birds, 1 stone (AD sink and players dont have to run for miles).

You're trying to use logic in a fantasy game. Also player experience > complete realism. Now if you're really using that excuse, then the fact that there used to be 1 mailbox just in PE would make the mail system useless since there's no where to send your mail to. I'm pretty sure most zones would accept messages rather than just PE and caer konig. Finally you already get your payment in different areas, adding more mailboxes wouldn't change that logic.
The mailbox thing doesn't bother me in the slightest. I think they should only be in major cities.
The gear preview thing is something I relied on heavily when trying to determine what looked good on me when I played WoW. I think it'd have as great of a benefit here. I may not want to bind something to me just to see how it looks. If I can see it before hand then I can determine if its awesome and I want to use it for transmute or if I just want to sell it.

Terribly amusing. Let me reply with 1, 1 reason, bwah, ah, ah...
Teleport scrolls, from bazaar, 4000 AD.
It's a convenience AD sink. If you don't want to ride your horse from the very end of a given map, you'll allow 4000 AD to be vaporized.

Speaking of sinks, upgrading enchants and other bits is one sink. Perhaps removing enchants should cost AD instead of gold? Or make all enchants, when slotted Bound ( character ) or at least Bound ( account ) ?

NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, it was like that jenny. Now that its so much more expensive to buy/create an enchant. Im an adamant no on that. The sinks need to be aimed at existing stockpiles. To place these burdens on new players will only drive them away.

I agree...it would also be very "crafter friendly"
This is a game where the physical realm isnt the only thing that is active, hence being able to auction something anywhere, leave alone acts of battle magic. Thus, one should at least be able to access a courier box within the realm you are in even if it's at the local non war zone area. If you can buy stuff such as potions, there ought to be a courier box there too.
While we're on the topic of small suggestions I'd like a branch of the Manycoins bank in Caer-Konig.

One thing i dislike about recent mailbox is that you cant take only one item from mail, you have to take all. Think that's rediculous. And i believe it's easy to fix by developers, just add possibility to take one item from mail with right click.
In every major encampment/safe zone within the main zones, why isn't there a mail box? If i level at the end of a zone and there is gear i can purchase, why do i need to run through the entire zone to port back to PE to access the mailbox.
I'm all against using the mail system for auctions. It is unnecessarily obnoxious.
I'd just let people collect stuff by talking to the AH people (we should really be able to collect all the items with a single click, from a dedicated AH tab).

This is the reason why I'll never ever buy bank space or account bank space. It's too much trouble to actually use it.
You have to change to a specific map, ride with your T3 mount for 15s to the bank, make your bank business, and then get out again.
Repeat the same for every toon and you very fast end up spending half your time in PE with bank transactions. And you can not even use it to transfer crafting resources!

They did cost AD instead of gold before. The result was literally no one unslotted anything unless it was rank 7+ simply because it cost you more AD than it would have by simply buying a new one. That sink was a failure and no one wants it back.

^This. By now it's the only benefit the new refinement system has over the old one. The new refinement system falls short in so many ways. You shouldn't be punished for experimenting and adding variation.

I would like to 1v1 Knox. >:D
Although its nice to view your mailbox in SCA, doesn't really help much if you cant actually access it.

But anyways both would be nice and have been asked for before. Nice to know a clothing preview may be coming soon.

If not a mailbox in outer zones, at least this.
(Though it was awesome to have a mailbox at the Winter Festival zone!!!)
