Ioun Stone reveals position in Open-World PvP

Today, I was in Open-World PvP in Dwarven Valley and as I was trying to sneak up on someoneI watched them as they went steath and I could see them coming at me because of their Ioun stone (the little blue animation which flies around their head).
I can only assume that the only way to fix this is make the PvP area so that you can't have a pet out, like in Domination matches.
(If anyone's interested, it came to a very close match but I barely managed to get him. It was the best PvP I have done in this game.)
