RSS News Feed url...

I run two Guild Launch sites with Neverwinter news feed widgets. At some point, though not really sure when, the widgets stopped working. The news headings show up, but the links bring up Guild Launch errors. The GL support guy pointed me to this link, indicating that the Neverwinter news feed url is not a valid RSS feed url. I can't seem to find any other RSS url.

The url I'm using is: http://www.arcgames.com/en/games/neverwinter/news/rss

The GL support guy showed me this report:

Yep definitely a PWE problem -- they are completely missing the hostname/IP - the links are all "relative" -- relative "to where" is the problem. Relative links aren't allowed for RSS feeds, so PWE has messed up their RSS newsfeeds for everyone using them.

You might try posting on PWE support since Cryptic doesn't run the forums/website/rss feeds.

No idea why they would send you to us.

I will ask the Community Managers but I have no idea how the RSS feed works or if the community team has any control over it to begin with. In fact I've never subscribed to an RSS feed in my life so I barely know what it is.

Update:

I replied to them that the moderators don't know what the problem is or why I'd be directed to them. Their reply to that was for me to PM a moderator because they "need to look at it." I replied that I did PM a moderator, that's how I got the reply. This is getting ridiculous. I'm just trying to share their news, if they don't care if it works, neither do I. No skin off my back to just remove their news feed from both sites altogether.

Those are the Community Managers which are the staff in charge of posting news articles and maintaining the social media pages. A moderator, what I am, is just a player with only control over the forums.

I have poked them again regarding this issue but "moderators" have absolutely no control over the RSS feed.

You also might try sending an e-mail to webmaster@arcgames.com that's an almost universal contact for websites and should get to a web-aware person.

Funny story... my latest reply mentioned they had looked at this forum, saw you (ambisinisterr) tell me to contact a community manager, so that's what I should do. Congrats on your promotion to being in charge of PWE Support, ambi!

P.S. I already sent a message to Akromatik. If someone can fix it, great. If not, oh well, not worth this much effort. Thanks for your help though.
