PVP-Advise/Build-GWF

Hello.So am new to the game, i have a lvl 50 gwf.I have chosen swordmaster and currently i follow to destroyer path.But the problem is i have hard time in pvp and i dont know whats the problem.My base damage(from at-will attacks)i low and closing the gap on ranged classes seemes too hard.So is there anyone to give me any advise on what build to follow on swordmaster-destroyer(what encounters etc),or any other advise on gwfs gameplay i dont get?;)

    give up and go for a ranger.. they nerf gwf so hard that we cant play anymore... at lvl 60 is even worst because people have good gear

    Well, you are new to the game, and there are a bunch of twinks running around in pvp with rank 10s and perfect vorpals. So it could just be that.
