i rarely see perma bile trs in pvp any more
and if i see them once in 20- 30 to matches they usualy cap other point .
so i ask whats the point having bilethorn when u cant realy use it that much.
i know its good on df but so is vorpal and can crit daily nice as well.
and with vorpal its easyer and faster to kill pugs.
for solo pug vorpal rules.
hmm its good at point holding too! even w/o other permas!
df+bile VS GF their guard melts!
and in pugs sometimes enemy players will try to cap the node you're holding and when they realize there's 2-or more of them they try to go to other nodes and use their mount, that's the time your bile shines! unmounting them w/ cos 2-4hits and voila! they'll be stuck at your node: chasing you! I pissed many gwfs and hrs with the unmounting. Better be prepared for fan mails though aside from the fact that you're also a perma :P

Regarding GF's: This will no longer hold true once Mod 4 hits. In fact, GFs will LOVE TRs that use Bilethorn + DF on them while they're blocking. That's a whole load of AP for them, and a whole lot of reflected damage for us via Guarded Assault. We have to play more carefully. What's more is that Guarded Assault will proc Weapon Enchantments. Just imagine what a GF could do if he slots Bilethorn and pairs it up with a well-timed Block against the TR using DF. Yep, that's right, instantaneous unstealthing.
Bile will become useful for a lot of other classes as well as soon as mod 4 gets implemented in the game, such as the Warlock who has a massive array of multiple hit skills that will make full use of Bilethorn's unique mechanic where you can stack it infinitely without any real caps aside from the 4 second limit of the Bilethorn stacks. But more importantly, CWs will be dominating PVP with Bilethorn + Assailant. Armored classes will be prey against a Thaumaturge single-target MoF Bile CW. I did my tests in the preview shard, and things are looking very, very bright for them. The burst DPS is immense. The beefier the opponent gets, the higher the damage. What's best is that this damage is unresistable, meaning no matter how much armor the opponent has, it's no good against a Thaum MoF Bile CW.
CWs will still be prey for us, however.
We can't say how Bile will interact with TRs post-Mod 4, as we still do not know what is in store for us in terms of changes. But the fact still remains, Bilethorn is useful for unstealthing TRs. That's pretty much the only reason why people use it, even us rogues. No other weapon enchantment has such a huge impact on a class mechanic like Bilethorn, and this puts us in a tough spot.

Warlocks have a capstone feat that is Bilethorn-like ~ Deals 100% necrotic damage over 8 seconds ~ so for at least one paragon tree, Bilethorn would be redundant as a Warlock's enchantment. Stealth overkill too... depends how you look at it.

D*mn, that's really neat. I haven't checked the Warlock that much so far but from what I've read in the Preview forusm, I'm loving the many possibilities we can achieve with the warlock skills.
At the very least we'll have to see how that Necrotic damage behaves against Stealth. It may be a DoT, unlike Bilethorn that is pure damage. And pure damage is what harms our stealth the most.
i think its abouth time people stop complaining abouth trs
warlock got nice toys
gf all around buff which was needed im glad they got it
cws got nerf?
b.....please it was huge pvp buff but thats fine
once they start synergizing together against us we are dead
Bile can also dismount/keep people dismounted effectively compared to vorpal. Bile is really just to handle other rogues though. If you end up fighting another rogue that is using bile, you will be completely trashed if it is semi-perma/perma and you are of similar build. Either way though, the damage (unless using a full damage build/spec) with a bile is going to be slightly better on DF which is most of your damage, so it doesn't really matter.
This has got me thinking about an AP build semi perma build with vorp and DC artifact in main slot though... Depending on how it is played and feat procs/crits, it might be able to handle a stealth built bile rogue, but that's probably the best you could do and you would still lose most just from being unstealthed so much and needing artifact off of cooldown.

meh i go buy some footmen for my tr hehe
Lmao.
The only attention we got so far was the Wicked Reminder nerf.
So according to the people ITT, the perma TR will become Fodder in mod4?
Hope my ranged WK will still be viable. I think it will be... since it's not risky and doesn't get close.
Got a linky for that? Not seen any info on it.

its 7,5% dmg nerf
Bilethorn Enchantment: No longer triggers an unintended secondary delayed hit for 16 damage.
Many thanks.
