Simple question:
I understand there is a quitter penalty of 30 minutes but why is it imposed only on the character that quit but not on every character on the account?
As it stands now, a player can quit at will and switch to another character on his account. Deserting a match is still painless.

I would hope that in the future, they are planning to go to the next step
That would get me steamed, get booted from a match and finally able to log back in to find I'm banned from all queues across all accts.
If the system people can't tell if a player logout or initiate a disconnect on his side maybe PW should put up new hiring adverts.
My game window just disappears sometimes during PvP and i get queue penalty.
They can't tell the difference now so I'm glad it isn't account wide, though I'm sure some abuse it...
..How would getting honest disco'd look any different from someone who hits alt+f4 anyways?
They can tell if connection is dropped on their side. There is an error log.
If your window disappeared on your side then perhaps you can ask yourself, your little brother, your cat or your internet provider but why should Cryptic be held responsible for "connection problem" on the side of your computer?
Tons of problems with bugs, exploits, botting, and here you are complaining about the deserter penalty?? really?
How about a bad match making resulting to player rage quit?
Yeah Cryptic should hire psionisist! Oh my! they also hold rights for DD right? Why not take some psionisist and put him in front of the main server to cater LORD radiotubby's glorious idea!

Did you see other people making threads on what you called "tons of problems"? I did. Tell me why I should make another thread repeating the same things that have already been mentioned?
The fact is what I mentioned will take virtually no time for the developers to fix while your "tons of problems" will take quite a bit of time to sort out.
I also think if a team has 3-4 players, the logged out player is booted from group and another player can que into there place

Thanks for your attempt at making it my connection though.
With cogent in line between me and neverwinter I repeat, I am 100% glad it doesn't penalize all accts.
And how is Cryptic 'being held responsible'? when they don't give all accts. a queue penalty?
i have an even better idea: Leaver Penalty should be reduced Glory from your next match. Say 50% less Glory gained from your next match/s (multiple penalties would mean more matches @ reduced Glory). the only way to clear the penalty is to play a match all the way through and take the Glory hit. Ya it would suck for ppl who's connection drops (or similar), but not nearly as bad as current. AND it would solve the problem of ppl just toon hopping to get around the penalty now.
For starters's...the average player has MAYBE 2 toons that are maxed out and those are the ones that they are interested to play wiht only.....
Nobody is going to leave a pvp match then swap to another toon to PvP.... lol
