This Friday 7/18 from 5-6PM PDT we'll be hosting a Warlock-themed "Play with the Devs" Q&A livestream. Post your (constructive) questions in this thread for a chance to have them answered live on-air by our Neverwinter Developers! We'll also be posting a transcript of the Q&A session sometime after the stream. If you want to join us for the livestream, visit our Twitch.tv page at 5PM PDT this Friday.
We ask that you keep your questions limited to Warlock-related issues, as this will be a Warlock themed livestream. (We'll be having more in the future, so don't worry if you have questions about another topic.)
Will the Warlock shift ability be getting a damage immunity like other classes and if not then why not since it puts Warlocks at a distinct disadvantage.

1. Will Warlock items be added to the various packs/(previous) lockboxes/professions/etc - I'm thinking specifically about Greycloak, Delzoun, Ancient Mulhorand, leatherworking, and alchemy items. Will their daggers & grimoires fall under artificing or weaponsmithing? What colors will their dye packs be, if they'll be included?
2. Just how durable and effective is the soul puppet intended to be? I've heard that they shouldn't replace an actual companion, but will they benefit from augment pets or when the summoner is under the effects of "Companion's gift"? Is a Warlock's "baseline performance" deemed to be when they have a soul puppet out, or is that going to count as extra on top of that?
3. Imagine creating your ideal team - how do you foresee the Warlock fitting in with the existing classes? Now, imagine a bunch of players who just want to maximize the number of dungeon delve runs they can get in during that hour - do you foresee the warlock fitting into this paradigm, or will its players be passed over?

I love the fact that the SW abilities are versitile in the fact that most the races can benefit from being such a class. I am enjoying the SW so far and love the new stance (so regal!). As mentioned by Biostrike about the Soul Puppet, I see that one of the Mastery paths is that it will be permanent, so I am curious about the abilities/effects of actual companions and how they will complement the warlock with a perma soul puppet.
DO NOT CHANGE the Warlock's current SHIFT ability. It's literally the coolest thing I've ever seen outta the 7 classes !
Now for the questions:
1) We have Hellbringer as a paragon, which seems like a devil worshipping paragon, what would be the theme of the 2nd paragon? Fey-related ?
2) Will you improve the Soul Puppet's AI to be more reactive to danger? (It takes a good 2-3 seconds to know what's going on)

Enjoying play the new Warlock class though I find it funny I can play a female one as Warlocks are males only. Females would be Witches. I was hoping for more of a Necromancer Death Knight but this class is very much like a hybrid Necromancer and War Cleric. When do we get a True Paladin or Druid finally? Though I love that you guys are not just doing to same old classes. I love Hybrid classes. Why not a Rune Gun Mage like a Gunslinger?
1) I know most want a path related to fey, but I think a more generic path would be fitting more so like divine judge "pact with a good being "
2) Also will the dragon born be a new race in this issue, it has the feel like it might.
3) And here's hope that the next class is druid and after that paladin, and some point between there gnome as well as a race but douing that you would have to have illusionist, artificer so a class some what gnome related.

Well IMO if they make this it's gona make certain Paladin and certain Cleric builds worthless from an RP standpoint, since both those classes already specialize in pacts w/ good beings, so doubt it's gonna happen.
As for my own question, I've been hearing a lot of stuff from various other players testing the SW, but one thing they all agree on is that the healing branch of the SW is gonna make DCs useless, how are you going to make sure that that doesn't happen?

This is D&D not some generic fantasy. Warlocks can indeed be female. As far as the gun Mage /facepalm. Let's get the classes in the books out before we invent silly nonsense classes
As far as warlock questions. Any chance we can get the pact blades reduced a bit the look overly large

Do you ever plan doing anything with all the old armor sets that have weak set bonuses and that no one uses as a result?

1.
Do you have plan improving SW in pvp? Cuz the current test are crystal clear SW is not viable in pvp.
2.
Do you have plans to improve SW summoner "damnation tree" to make puppet controllable ?
3.
Do you still working on SW set bonuses or this is final version?
4.
Do you have plans to change the Temtation tree final feat do downgrade it more? -100% already brutal nerf
Hit for others SW dont have Infernal Pact . NW SW have Sorcerer King pact.

Shift
Shadow Sprint: Stamina Cost of Sprinting reduced by 40%
Shadow Sprint: Stamina Cost to activate Sprint is now in line with Great Weapon Fighter Sprint.
All of the Pants/Shirts from Leatherworking will be usable by Scourge Warlocks. At least they will be as soon as I do the Professions pass for Warlock.
All packs that you mentioned are currently updated on the test shard to drop items for warlocks.

We actually don't want the soul puppet feeling like a full companion. Remember that the warlock isn't a minion master. When you trigger a soul puppet you get a free DoT that will target foes (and once the new patch goes up, survives *much* longer due to ignoring AoE damage). Players in the damnation tree get bolstered by their Puppet which improves their performance across the board, and the soul puppet in our runs has made up a not insubstantial portion of the damage the warlock dealt. They are a very minor part of the other specs however and should be treated as a secondary DoT that gets launched and can jump from target to target unless you spec deeply into the Damnation tree, where every second of uptime is important and feels empowering.
Warlocks can fill one of two roles in a group. They can dedicate themselves to the dark arts and decimate their foes, either by dealing necrotic damage and cursing foes or by summoning their soul puppet to augment their damage. Additionally Warlocks can support their allies by tearing the souls from their foes to heal and empower their allies. The three feat trees are broken up as described below.
Fury – A Fury Warlock destroys his foes with fire and death, cursing his foes and then decimating them with his most powerful spells, leaving them a smoking husk.
Damnation – A Damnation Warlock controls a soul puppet to empower himself and destroy his foes, eventually making this puppet a permanent part of his arsenal. While his Soul Puppet is active he is a much more potent combatant who can destroy foes at various distances.
Temptation – A Temptation Warlock binds the souls of his foes and his allies to steal the very life force from his foes to heal his allies. He also commands several auras that bolster nearby allies or weaken nearby foes.
...I've been hearing a lot of stuff from various other players testing the SW, but one thing they all agree on is that the healing branch of the SW is gonna make DCs useless, how are you going to make sure that that doesn't happen?
There are 4 more weeks worth of testing and changes happening to the Warlock class , that is why this thread exists , so we can ask DEVS if they have any plans to make changes to the issues we brought up , not have some random off the forum telling us all information we all already know ....

Will there be a pack release with Module 4? and if so will it be like the ranger pack or more along the feywild or guardian pack?
I am sure there will be. But I would like to see a reward for us long time Founding member players that put lots of money into this game and have a 60 level with all the Module completed by Module 4 start up.
I do want to see the Druid and maybe a Dark Fey paragon pack with it. Make it so we can heal by drawing life form plants around us or use their poisons. Make plants move about and attack and entangle. An Anti Druid Assassin that can plant walk would be very cool to play. But most of all we can take on Animal forms and or Control Beasts. And increase armor protection with Iron Wood for you and your party members. Druids protect nature but does not mean they are nice about it. With all the War and Destruction they have enough reason for Druids to come out of the woods and kick much ***. And be good, evil, or both about it.
As for the Warlocks. I am very happy with this class. Is kind of OP and the soul puppets need more AI work but I would like to get thru the first 60 levels fast to get to the good stuff faster now we will have 4 modules. Is there going to be more parts added to the older module? I would like to see more of Icewind Dale and some of the other expanded on more. :P
Will we get some new choices of deities to worship that are more in line with the Warlock class? also can the ability to change gods and origins be added to the rename tokens; i know i am not the only person out there that wishes they could change the choice they made on their older characters!
Will Dreadtheft be nerfed? I like killing every single HAMSTER in the room using that single spell, but it can be a source of 'cry me a river' situations from other classes after it goes live
