Sharandar is longer by far. I've had characters who started both Mod1 and 2 campaigns the same day, used the 6 day invoke reward to get Feywild sparks and still it took over a week more to finish Sharandar than Dread Ring.

You need to get at least three boons from either to unlock IWD. You can get them in DR much faster. However, the boons in both Sharandar and Dread Ring are better than the ones in Icewind Dale.

Sharandar no contest. I HATE that place, worst place in the entire game by faaaaaaar.

Tedious, boring, long quests. If it was night time it would actually be beautiful though.

You can get DR boons easily.. especially the first 3 ones. By doing Dread Legion skirmish + daily lairs.

Dread Ring is Way faster AND have better loot. Sharandar is just an absurd amount of grind for nothing. they really should fix it. Sharandar instances are nice I actually like the look and the enemies, but the grind is absurd I only did it fully with two of my toons and I play since beta

The sparks grind in Sharandar is just painful at the end of it. Dreadring luckly though has the more useful high end boons. I love endless consumption.

So I was wondering, the boon from Icewind that says "being "healed" gives you a chance to get 500 power" So does lifesteal count as being "healed"?

that boon doesn't proc with LS at all. you need to be healed by a spell or a potion to active.
