Since you ask so kindly let me lay it out for you. A huge back log of buy orders causes a delay in AD to Zen conversion. This is not a problem per se, however, if this becomes too long it effectively removes the option for getting items in the Zen store for a player that only has access to AD. (And the back log is increasing, mind you.) In other words, the borewall becomes a paywall. Every F2P game I have tried that used paywall saw a rapid decline of active players. Your milage may vary, but very few players will de facto cash out 1000 euro to be competitive. Who will you pride yourself of beating in PvP when it is just you and Mr Perfect Vorpal left?
Now, you do not NEED cosmetic items and companions, they are fun and they help. But you do need enchantments for PvP and dungeons like VT. (Albeit rank 10 is excessive, I have soloed all non-epics wearing only rank 5s to prove a point.) And for that you must have wards that must not be locked away behind a paywall. Capiche?
Zen store is now a paywall? What a stupid stupid statement.
Nothing on the zen store is ever needed to achieve the highest level of content in this game. Everything can be achieved through the auction house even today.
Well there were times I had to wait days to get a bank upgrade and that sucked. It's not a major thing, but still annoying when you have to mule stuff around just because you can't get ZEN. It complicates things especially for semi-collectors like me.
Also we are approaching the point where some players might miss weekly sales because they can't transfer AD quick enough. Again: not a major thing, but plays in the hands of those that already own a buttload of ingame currency.
We don't need to remove the exchange. If the AD continues to inflate as it is now, the market will remove the exchange automatically. The exchange will be dead untill AD deflates, which is a bad thing. Because free to play players have to pay to get retrain tokens, account wide mounts etc...
To make ZAX still possible with AD inflation, I see that removing cap is the only way. I would suggest to add a 10% cost for exchanging like AH. For what reason? For sure, not because it is cheaper to get zen. But it will limit the exploiters.
Many others have suggested to add more AD sinks, I will not repeat this. I only talked about the case if we have no new AD sinks than today, so the AD continues inflation.
If PWE would do like 30-50% off Zen prices sales rather then 15% bonus Zens sale, more ppl would buy Zens and thus more Zen would be available, but it won't happen since too many games depend on Zens.

Here are my 2 cents:
1. Make BtA coalescent wards available in the Wondrous Bazaar. Make them a little more expensive than the 500 AD:1 Zen price, but only just so.
2. Offer a bunch of attractive and affordable AD sinks; Everything from weapon transmutes, (that don't cost 100K+ ADs each), armor transmutes, and, heck, how about trying out something like a "mount transmute" or a "companion transmute". What about (humanoid) fashion transmute items, or companion dye packs? Make all items BtA as well.
3. Cap Zen store item prices in the AH to coincide with their Zen market prices (perhaps allowing for the AH fee as well).
4. Offer dye bottles and packs in the Wondrous Bazaar, which cannot be obtained anywhere else. Make them BtA, and be sure to include some of the more requested colors; white, gold, silver, etc.
5. Offer a limited appearance change token in the Wondrous Bazaar - perhaps it would only allow you to change 1 aspect of your character - like hairstyle, face, etc.

While I agree with much of this, I don't see dyes etc as much of a sink. Most the people I know that are very rich in game don't care one bit about dye's or fashion equipment unless it can be sold.

I would argue that there is a good portion of the player base that *would* buy cosmetic items off the Wondrous Bazaar if their prices were a lot more reasonable. I'll happily plunk down the 5K ADs + some gold to buy the Fey Spear in Feywild, and I'll even get the 14K transmutes from the Bazaar, but no way am I spending the 1 million+ for some of the other items.
