i read lately on many post about CW is OP... im CW with not so good gear rating (11k), but i have a hard time to play aginst some classes... with tenacity they change "control" wizard to wizard... i cant control a ****... repel not work anymore (my favorite PvP skill)...
GWF: my nemesis... in my opinion most OP in game.. especially against squishy classes... (with tenacity cant play against it even if its many gear rating under me)
GF: ok... i cant beat him, but mostly can run from him... however, if he catch me and kick me in the air, hardly i have a chance to run anymore
TR: perma stealth or half-perma stealth... dont have to say more...
if CW is OP, please somebody tell me secret of CW playing...

its not even a matter of gear rank 7 with regular enchants epic artifacts will do.
but most people dont play like that they rather QQ.

Well, with the same gear you can kill every other class. I play CW and HR with just around 13k GS and yet I am constantly in the top 10% and facing people with p. enchants and 15k-19k gs toons. Many ppl make the mistake to dps a GWF when he has unstoppable. Just drop dps and kite him around, they often wont follow you outside nodes. Then go full dps when his unstoppable is down and weak. If you DPS him when he has unstoppable, then he will be able to pop this again very shortly afterwards, which you dont want. During time you learn also to anticipate when most gwf's try to use FS and Takedown. Sure if they can land this combination on you then you are often dead without proper gear. Anyways, I admit that a GWF who knows what he is doing is quite impossible to kill.
With permstealth TR its the same. Just listen to the knifespam and you know exactly where they are. Good TRs attempt to give you a LB in your face in this case or try to smoke you when you sit on their spot, but most of them just stand around and dont know what to do, so you can open your cc's on them. During time you also learn how to anticipate the LB and where the rogue will go/dodge. Get ice rays and put 1x on him to see where he is when he goes back to stealth.
Personally I find the hardest class to counter are the GFs, since they have nearly the same instant CCs like the GWF but good GFs have block more often up than the GWF can pop unstoppable, making him more immune to any CCs. I dont understand some ppl who think this class 'needs some love'... in PvP they are extremely strong in a 1vs1 situation. I recommend to fight good GFs only as a team, use at-wills to get his block down and then CCs like shard on tab (also usefull against GWFs) if you fight as team. Drop them above their heads and roll over them again so they are down for a long period. Ice knife only when they have their back turned to you, proned or no block anymore.
If you face a team with hunters and you get alot grasping arrow shots, better switch to ray of enfeeblement on tab, wait until the hunter wasted his dodges or use ice rays and then spam ray for great debuffs.
- Dualspec
- Better rewarding foundry and foundry pvp maps
- Custom PvP leagues with leaderboards instead of the current 'matchmaking'.
- Armory
- make jumping cost stamina (to reduce hopping in pvp)
I can tell you that sometimes CW are just fodder, i wouldn't waste a daily on them. and sometimes if i miss my rotation by half a second - i'm dead, they'll cc me long enough to drain me from 100% to 0 (that's what people mean when they say OP) and i'm more defense oriented.
I guess like everything else it's a matter of gear/build/skillz(most important imo)
