they messed up with graphic setting:
-many graphic cards dont have problem
-some graphic cards like mine, let me playing but with some serious graphic distorsions.
-some other graphic cards just crush.

the error is related to shader stuffs.

    pls fix it

Well if its a shader issue. Wouldnt you still be able to play if you started the game in safe mode? It would look like poo, but it should work.

This bug (which I have been reporting since the first patch) seems to happen to anyone using AMD 8xxx CPUs. Really hope it gets fixed soon so I can get on preview without having to use an old laptop that can barely even run the game at lowest settings.

What you just did was go to the doctor and say "I don't feel well, what's wrong with me?"
The doctor has no clue until you explain more about yourself and your symptoms.

Always supply complete system specs when asking for advise with poor performance. Based on the information you supplied it is entirely viable hypothesis that there is a pink elephant riding a unicycle causing problems with your hardware. ;)

Luckily, though, Miss Andrist/iaccidentally47 has run into this issue before. ;)

I get a cursor only / black screen during character selection. Selecting the "Safe Mode" box under options in the login launcher seems to fix it. Maybe try that?

Many have tried it, unfortunately enough this doesn't correct this particular issue. Even when attempting to start in safe mode the game will crash during the loading screen after selecting which character to enter the world with.

Running a AMD FX-8350 4.0 GHZ processor myself and suffering from the same issue as everybody else.

Also sinisterr, while I understand that wasn't meant to be taken literally, I dare say that the issue is not caused by a pink elephant riding a unicycle which are causing the issues, At that point you might as well tell the person satan has possessed his PC and the reason the game won't load correctly is the game attempts to summon him while god is crashing the game to prevent a successful summoning, or that his PC has become self aware, secretely renamed itself to skynet, and neverwinter is the program which will delete all of the data on his computer if it successfully loads. I find those both far more plausible as I've yet to see any pink elephants, much less them riding a unicycle while tempering with computer hardware and while I've seen neither of the other two quite a few people in the world believe in the devil and god, and a few nut jobs surely feel their computer has become self aware that's the reason a program crashes when attempting to use it :P

(TL;DR, Sinister, stay off the hallucinogens, unless of course prescribed by a proper medical personal, then keep taking them and rock on to the mystical and highly tech savvy pink unicorns riding unicycles.)

What you just did was go to the doctor and say "I don't feel well, what's wrong with me?"
The doctor has no clue until you explain more about yourself and your symptoms.

Always supply complete system specs when asking for advise with poor performance. Based on the information you supplied it is entirely viable hypothesis that there is a pink elephant riding a unicycle causing problems with your hardware. ;)

Luckily, though, Miss Andrist/iaccidentally47 has run into this issue before. ;)

    Got it working !!!!!!
Here is the thing. in order to play on preview on 8xx series amd cpus, u need to enter on BIOS SETUP (HIT DEL WHEN COMPUTER STARTS then go to BIOS SETTINGS, go to cpu core functios. put it manualy selected, defoult is "AUTO", THEN DISABLE CORES 4~8, YOUR PROCESSOR'LL HAVE ONLY 4 CORES AND NEVERWINTER PREVIEW WILL WORK VERY WELL.

Wow that really sucks, having to cut your processor in half is not cool. Crossing my fingers that it's fixed before live.

You know candi.. that's actually pretty good, I'm finding it funny how nobody else even considered that as a potential bypass until the bug is fixed.

And Charononus, it's actually not as bad as you'd think, very few programs utilize more than 2 cores let alone 4, in fact 8 cores is honestly overkill if you were aiming for a purely gaming machine.. 8 cores has it's uses definitely, but gaming isn't one of them at the moment.

    -edit-
Confirmed as a working bypass until they fix it, so as long as you're not using video rendering software, should be a viable option at the moment :p

Question for you then about it. My understanding is that more cores is like have more processors was before, back when multi-processor motherboards were more common. Even if one specific program doesn't use more than one under my understanding when you run multiple they use the least utilized processor rather than gathering onto one processor. Which means if you have a game, mumble, browser window, and anything else open cutting cores does hurt your performance.

It's a little off topic but since you seem to know a little bit that is against my little bit of knowledge I'd like to get see what your thoughts are.

Basicaly Windows(except server versions) cant use 8 cores at once, so the 5~8 cores are only usable when the aplication running "knows" how to use the processor, and games on general uses 1~4 cores(4 cores are still very rare) mostly keep on 2 cores more than that is the same as puting 2gb memory on a windows 98 machine, it'll recognze the memory but it'll only use 128mb bacause it's all it knows how to use.

Thank you. I still hate the work around but that makes it not as bad as it seems at first.
