I disagree. GF, if played properly, hold aggro above all other classes. No one steals aggro from my GF, not even our guild's top GWF who does 6 times of my damage.

Yeah, Aggravating strike = Treath x1000, the problem is when you are getting the aggro of 4 or 5 mobs, but there are 10 and 5 of them are chasing the CW or DC, we only have a short ranged Enforced Threat (each 11~12 seconds) to get the aggro, which isn't good enough, I'm thinking to get Greater Lightning or Lightning just to get more aggro (and improve a little my DPS).

Yeah ET alone won't get stragglers that have already aggroed. Lunge+ ET/TR+ a cleave or two usually gets it.

I have played a protector with defense stats specced GF for over 6 months now in this game, and you got the wrong attitude if you think all the agro has to be on the GF. The GF needs the majority of the agro. A straggler or two isn't a problem for anyone equally geared and good team members know to keep them with the group, and eventually you will get them back. If a team member pulls a single and doesn't move it to the horde that is on them, and they lose the "good team member" monicker, but at the end of the day it only slows the group down it doesn't cause failures.

Your malfunction is you don't have enough flexibility for this game. I played 10 years of everquest and I can tell you on endgame content holding agro on just the right person was most of the game, but that isn't Neverwinter. In each game the group must survive, but that is where they differ. In Everquest a single stray mob caused wipes in end game content. They might kill the chanter or they kill the cleric, and your group GGs. In Neverwinter a single stray does no such thing, and it is only a stray horde of mobs that causes problems.

So, in conclusion, if you got the majority of stuff hitting you. Job done. Listen to your tunes and busy yourself clicking on all those darn enchantments that drop.

The problem is that unless the group is bad(stupid) or undergeared, you don't need a tank. When you have geared people that play well a tank actually hurts because the grouping and combat advantage doesn't make up for the non-existent dps of a GF. Unless they give GF's a whole lot more defense, I mean an incredible amount more, and increase mob dps significantly there is no good reason to bring a GF in a good group.
