I have a question, sometimes I PvP with the Combat Log and I did notice this...

How did this HR do me more damage than the Raw damage?, it's not the only time I see this but I don't understand it, 52% DR from Defence and 18% DR from Tenacity and this HR do to me 2903 (2879) with Fox Shift, how can be that possible?.

Plaguefire and Thornward probably. Don't stay in it. Of course if this was not 1vs1 you might have been affected by other debuffs as well.

Well, I die on the node or I'm doing nothing... but anyway, I still don't understand it, even with all the debuffs of the world a 0% DR should be 2879 (2879), but how can it be 2903 (2879)?, also, I noticed how trash was my 70% DR from defence and tenacity on that ocassion , devs stop punishing my DR so hard, you give us a ton of defence in all of our equipment that is thrown away with yor habits to implement things that ignore it, you make all my plates look like toilet paper...

A debuff to defense when the DR is at 0% instead will increase the damage done to the enemy. Just like how all debuffs work on monsters when decreasing defense or mitigation.

So it could be a number of things and debuffs affecting you at the time besides just plague fire.

Oh, I thought that was on PvE and not in PvE, so it seems I have to get more DR lol

This is what you get for being a cleric! XD On a serious note, I'd not recommend to stack defense more then 3k. Increase your HP for above 30k, deflection chance about 30% and regeneration above 1200. But even with these stats you won't be able to stall any DPS class unless the player is handicapped. Stick to your allies, clerics can no longer sustain through 1vs1 fights.

Don't forget to add armor penetration into the equation. Good HRs have a lot of it. Higher DR might not be what you need. I don't know your stats or class, but maybe increasing your deflect rate might be more beneficial.

Yes thats right. This is correct. HR's gear is stacked to the brim with armor penetration. So they can knock down to 0% DR easily with debuffs stacking a bit further to increase thier base damage which is probably from those plague fire stacks.

Isn't the number in paranthesis the amount that was mitigated? That makes a lot more sense if you have 70% combined DR.

HR should decrease yours by about 20-30% so that leaves about a 50/50 damage taken/mitigated ratio, which is what those numbers show.

There's no way an HR (or anyone) can mitigate more than 70% DR, even with full plague-fire stacks.
