Module 4, which honestly was to be expected since they stated they were going to do sweeping class changes beforehand; roar was just added to the list of planned changes.

The change to roar needs to go into effect before Mod 4. This is starting to get ridiculous, sounds like we are in a zoo. You know its bad when the good GWFs have stopped using it because is too much cheese

How long did it take before they nerfed TR's lashing blade in the past?

Then came shocking execution and now perma-stealth still exists.

Cryptic's history shows waiting until module 4 isn't out of the question

We are, evidently, going to have perma-frost (yay for puns) wizards going on in Mod 4, if the current build is any indication. It would appear that Oppressor has become quite powerful, and chill stacks quite a viable source of "Screw you". Which is actually rather nice, as they weren't useful at all in the past, except at very low levels.

With all the changes taking place I see nothing good for a DC in the new up coming PVP battles, the CW is going to perma freeze DC's on the spot while the TR/GWF kills them, and lets not start on the buffs the HR is getting. I agree with most of the nerfs they are bringing it, but it still doesn't look good for a DC in PVP. Until things becomes more viable for a DC in PVP, I'll just stay out of PVP.

To be fair, DCs were pretty well gimped for PvP by the healing depression patch. You barely see them at all nowadays in pvp.

What? 2 whole months? That's just inexcusable!
(... , he said, while still waiting for foundry bugs since beta to be fixed...)

Oh don't worry they nerfed TRs in between mods as well. Roar should be a priority fix. Especially since they have already commented on it.

and therein lies the problem.. the minute these op bugs show up they should become first priority and fixed immediately. GWF's have enjoyed stomping all over everyone for so long that now that they are gettting fixed it is creating a whole bunch of whining that had they fixed them immediately or within a couple week timeframe they would not be so used to being op for the past 6 months.

it was mostly gwf's complaining of shocking execution, and that was fixed relatively quickly once it hit all over the forums

it would prevent dissent amongst the players if things were fixed in a timely manner.. clearly there is a fix for roar now, so why isnt it going live?

same can be said about perma's.. when they announced the changes people got in an uproar and they wimped out of making the changes,, they should have implemented them, now when it does happen, you will have the same issues

and when they realize that they are making HR's the next FOTM OP class (they are already pretty op) and have to "nerf" them, they will make another group of people ragequit (probably the old gwf's that are now rolling Hr's in anticipation of mod 4)

Or you can play the next 2 month on the preview server with all the other bugs but a fix roar.

Again, they need to fix this known bug on live asap. 2 month wait is not acceptable.

Roar is pretty bad, but I've been fighting so many lately spamming it that I've actually developed a feel for the cooldown. When it's coming up to be ready for the GWF to use, I try to get close and move around him in a circle.

Roar is a cone shape AOE so if you're close and to the side it won't hit you.

That's the best people can do until it's fixed (it helps that I have 20% extra movement speed with the profound set- may be harder with other classes without movement speed buffs).

Yeah I have got a feel for it as well. Luckily your average GWF doesn't it use it properly and you can avoid it. My problem is two fold
    1. A skilled GWF knows how to exploit roar to maximum advantage. I won't mention how here. And brings a world of hurt behind it. It is simply exploiting and broke.
    2. They have come out and said it was a bug than needs to be fixed. They fixed it on preview. Why wouldn't they push this to live?? I can understand testing the other changes but I don't see the reason for this. Especially since other things get fixed mid cycle. It just makes no sense they would intentionally keep this fix off of live. Half the reason people are calling for gwf nerfs is because this power is being abused.

One cool side effect of this is that the really good gwfs are refusing to use Roar just to show they don't need it to be good. I always keep a mental list of who doesn't use it. Really cool
