Lag issues and system performance issues advice please.

Hi all,

This is not 1 of those OMG CRYPTIC BROKE MY INTERNET threads. So please keep it civil.

Since Mod 3 dropped i've been having horrid lag issues and system performance problems. Im looking for advice on good programs i can use to diagnose the problems as im a little rusty on this kinda stuff. Also any reputable website that have guides to do this kind of thing would be helpful.

Specific problems include
System lockups when running/opening/closing Neverwinter
Frequent crash to desktop from inside game
Frequent crash to launcher from inside game
Unable to login to character page (timeout on connection)
Unable to log from character page to game world (timeout on connection)
Crash to login screen from loading screen.
Crash to desktop in heavy populated instance, particularly town hubs.

I understand these may be problems with my system however i dont seem to have any of these problems in other games. Indeed these problems seem to be much worse during heavy play times (post Mod 3 for the 1st 10-12 days) and now since Anniversary event started.

Just done traceroute and its showing huge ping increases for cognetco in US. Hope this net neutrality bill pushes through ok.

Heavy load on Cryptic servers would cause these issue. General slowdown, which some have reported recently, is probably your ISP throttling back your speed due to heavy usage.

I have 20mb/s. and I get lots of throttling with Netflix, so far nothing noticeable that couldn't also be explained as high server load in Neverwinter though.

I have noticed the large amount of lag in the Protector's CTA so I believe it has to do with the over abundance of players. That with the fact all servers had merged doesn't really help. Neverwinter is only a year old. I am sure the devs are doing all they can to make this a top game.

I've noticed this as well. For the past 2 weeks, I get, on average, 4 to 5 disconnects every night. I know it is not my internet connection, because my Team Speak remains connected and my wife's music streaming stays playing.

Since i installed the razer game booster i didnt have any lag. maybe you should try it, its free and you get a booster pack and title ingame free!

Right now, I'm experiencing unplayable lag in PE, where I can't even move forward without getting teleported backwards...
