Other than getting carpel tunnel when I'm collecting loot it's the only other thing that bothers me about this title. I know they have 1 in the works but that's seriously terrible imo.

Agreed here. It's been a year. I was expecting a lot more. Ranger was in development since beta pretty much. So I doubt we'll see more then 1 a year.

Me can say even more.

Cryptic got 3 classes in development and 3 classes in ongoing balance changes as it was told in a thread about module 4.

So Warlock, Druid and maybe, very likely, somehow it is Paladin class or paragon.

And now they are working on GWF CW and GF rebalance or smth like this.

It's kinda 6 classes to change and create. Big deal.

Buff the GF, make the TR PVE relevant again and take away the emphasis on CW stacking BEFORE adding new classes.

I'd be mortified if a Paladin comes into the game while the GF is still broke HAMSTER.
PSA: You don't need to grind Spinward Rise for your Elemental artifact main hand if you have some AD lying around. You can craft it via the Tyranny of Dragon's campaign screen.

I totally hate when someone post some great info and someone says "source?". But its up to me now ask: source plese? If this is true, it would be great.

I don't think they need to release more than 1 class this year (2 classes if the second one is released at the end of december)

There is no source , all that is said on the linked thread is regular forum users speculating.

Except by nerfing CW to a near useless state(as we already are in PvP) how excactly are u gonna do this with the way the current dungeons are created?

I think the rate of 1 class per year is too low. The problem is that we started the game with one 4 classes (2 fighters). Most of old D&D players like me think this number is too low for a D&D game. Even DDO started with all core classes.

Of course is was not Cryptic fault. Not totally, I think they were pushed by PWI and Hasbro so they had to choose and picked the most basic ones to a MMO (thank, healer, control, dps, hybrid tank/dps). But now its time to focus on increasing the classes. When we have all the cores ones out, we could get 1 "exotic" per year. If needed.

More classes would definitely make the game more enjoyable and I am slightly disappointed at the slow rate of development with new classes. However, my concern is that bugs/imbalances are far too important and prominent in the current game as it is. Yet, I do not see this ever being truly resolved expect through multiple changes over the long term life of this game with the current attention that has been given to it. Also, they did a relatively decent job at balancing HR upon release, aside from root/constricting bugs in PvP, so I do feel like they would take the time to make a new class fit relatively well into the game. Ultimately I would push them to increase class development and class development rate, but at some point these pre-existing bug/balance issues do need to be addressed. It does look like we could be seeing a decent amount of attention given to balancing the game as a result of mod 4 so far though. Hopefully we can wrap up most of the balancing/bug issues in this next mod, and then move forward into focusing on more extra things such as new class development.

More classes means more players. Almost all fantasy-based MMO has a nice option of different classes and you cannot forget this IS a D&D game, people expect to find at least the core classes here. Many players are somehow stuck with few options at the moment. Take someone who likes to play as ranged dps, they were stuck with divine clerics (yeah...) 'till the hunter ranger came out.

Speaking for myself, I always play as paladins. I leveled a Cleric and a GF since early acess/launch, then I started a GF and a HR but dropped then. Right now I am not playing Neverwinter. I decided that I wont invest time/money on things for "alts" because eventually they will release the Paladin and he will be my main. And I know people doing the same thing or just playing the game to gather resources (cash, AD, crafting etc) waiting for the Warlock.

Thing is we have a comercial problem here:
1) Classes and races are free. They can attract new players, yes, but development are somehow costly and takes time. Time that can be use design things like...
2) Content. Content (areas, modules) is also free but it leads people to spend real money in the cash store. Adding new content helps to keep the current player base buying and playing.

It is obvious why they are always working on adding more content than increasing classes' numbers. But the point is, as someone mentioned, they should release like 4 classes in the the next year covering the core ones (Paladin, Warlock at least) then work on new areas and perhaps new "exotic" if needed/requested classes.

If you dont know the core classes from 4e (wich NO is loosely based): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Character_class_(Dungeons_%26_Dragons).
The following Player's Handbooks expanded the classes, but I for the moment they should stuck the the basic ones (Paladin, Fighter, Wizard, Rouge, Cleric, Warlock, Warlord) perhaps switching the Warlord with Druid since they are a such popular class.
