PvP ELO and leaderboards

I know there's countless threads on this topic, but today after every match I had I only ever had one instance where I actually went up after a match. No, i did not lose every match, in fact I usually have a 90% win rate. Some days are worse, some days are better.

The most frustrating thing is when someone afks b/c of lag, or they afk b/c we are losing but the never left home base and 3v1'd an HR for 700 points of the match. In these instances, that one loss is so penalizing (ie 4-6 pages down).

This would not be as bothering if climbing were easier, but as I mentioned before out of all the wins I had before only one resulted in me moving up half a page. I've tried multiple methods for climbing the leaderboard and today here's a list of what I attempted:
-duo queue~ won 1 lost 1; loss= 6 pages; win= fell a page
-solo queue~won most of matches (7 or so), dropped by like 1/4 a page every win; for the one match I lost, I dropped 5 pages; 1 win I went up half a page
-trio queue~went vs a 4 man premade with 2 9k gs pugs on our team, dropped half a page

On previous days, I've done premades and unless we run into another it results in net loss.

The losing in ranking is not due to the time needed to process a match. If this were true, an immediate drop should not be seen. I have a pretty stable elo having played over 300 games... something is broken when I go up more from not playing than playing b/c other people winning equates to them dropping in rank.

My questions for everyone: what have your leaderboard ranking experiences been?
My question for devs: Can we fix this system by implementing a fixed elo gain/loss for every win/loss?

It doesn't work at all. Whatever way the devs say it works is probably what it does... but whatever that is , its some terrible formula that doesn't even come close to capturing what truly makes a player good at PvP.

My advice is to keep smashing on enemies and stop checking the silly thing.

Totally agree. I see people in front of me with worse win/loss ratio, worse kill/death ratio, less assist, and less total points. So... why is he/she in the front?

    It doesn't work, that's why.

My GF dropped 10 pages (42 to 52) after winning a match with 23/3/19 score, then I lost a match with 12/5/20 and dropped 20 pages.

What bothers me the most, is I lose positions for losing 4vs5.

After a lot of ups and downs I think the scoring system for the LB is based on a) wins and b) your average score per match.

This from noticing that where I am with about 77wins and 36 losses on pg 60 or so, the guy above me had something like 8 wins and 2 losses, but I'm guessing he scored crazy high in kills and caps during those matches. He was a TR, so entirely possible if he was trolling nubs.
No idea what my toon is now.
