Random Zen Charge Rewards?

A friend just told me she discovered a Storm Rider companion in the Rewards vender after transferring $50 in Zen to Neverwinter this month. I haven't seen any notice of a promotion. Is it going random now?

    Is that one of the promotions where you need to get a email to take part? I have heard a lot of players mention it but I have no idea what you had to do to participate lol.

    I think so. But, then again, I've been getting -tons- of "Your Rewards Are Ready!" emails out of the blue lately with no apparent ready rewards to go with them. *shrug*

    Maybe they're having trouble with the rewards part of the program? Or maybe someone hacked it?

    I'd say that it was acting up, if they were hacked they'd be trying to send me someplace other than the game.

    My friend has also gotten it today though he has only transfer'd like $10 in the last month.So i'm kinda mad,since that is one companion i wanted and I have transfer'd $20 this month. :(

    Doesn't matter if you spent more than your friend, an account has to be flagged eligible for the offer to receive charge rewards.

    Eligibility seems connected to having charged and spent Zen in the account's history, but there's no exact information about what constitutes being eligible.

    If it's your first time charging Zen, probably the next/future charge rewards will be made available to you, though not a guarantee.

    I never got the Storm Rider email, and I've charged zen several times in the past, most recently right after Mod 3 hit, and also purchased the Knight of the Feywild pack.

    It seems to be completely random.

    I'm mildly annoyed because I like to collect the promotional companions.

    On the other hand, I'm one of the lucky ones who got the Ioun Stone of Radiance email and was able to get that, and that's far better than any other summonable promo companion, so I suppose I can't be that irked.

    There was a promotion to transfer at least 1000 zen to Neverwinter,
    within 7 days of getting the e mail notice of the promotion.
    It would seem now though, as if you didn't have to receive the e mail,
    but just transfer 1000 zen in the time period to qualify.

    I don't know if this is fact or not, I am basing this on what I have read,
    in other threads about the companion.
    I got the e mail but unfortunately couldn't afford the zen at the time,
    so I didn't qualify. :(

    I never received the email either, and did not transfer nor spent any Zen during the promo period. I did however transfer some a week after the promo because I wanted to make some purchases, and received the Storm Rider regardless.

    The charge rewards are rewards for spending, so in this case, I like to think of it as a bonus for making purchases, but if I had not gotten it, I would have spent Zen anyway.

    Very strange. Definitely agree with an earlier post. Doesn't seem to have any reasoning behind it.

    I also never got the email but my brother did. a few days later I transferred 10 bucks in just for the hell of it ( i will use the zen anyways) and a week later i got the storm rider. go figure.

    She wasn't playing until the last two months, so it wasn't from back in November. And apparently she's not the only one who's getting this.

    The last time I purchased zen was on 5/23 to take advantage of the first time buyers pack.

    On June 6th I received an email stating that I had a storm rider ready to pick up.... I had no idea what that was about but I've rather enjoyed her since.

    I never did receive an e-mail promoting the chance to gain a storm rider for transferring zen (that I'm aware of at least)

    The promotion apparently ran for 7 days starting 5/23. However, it seems players are still getting rewarded currently after the promo period,

    I got the storm rider too. And another 50 emails to tell me to claim rewards that aren't there...
