How to make it possible to win in PvP

A guildy of mine told me about his new PVP-trick.

He said:

"I'll sign up for PvP and when I get in - if there isn't at least 2 GWFs in my team- and we do badly on mid Point, I leave the party"

I asked him about penalty for leaving and he replied:
"Penalty? Sure it makes me have to do my dailies for 30 minutes Before I can try for Another PvP team, but that's a gain instead of a sure loss with GWF's as broken and exploiting as they are now"

Is this the way we have to do in PvP o have a fair chance of puging a win?
Shouldn't there be a rule that stop this quitting pvp-team attitudes?
What can we do to decrease this?

My guildie mostly plays his DC btw, perhaps it's different for us that don't play DC's as much?

I would list some suggestions however, fear of reprimand for violations of RoC prevents me as they may be taken as complaints rather than a constructive discussion. I suggest you discuss this with guildies and other pvp guilds to see if interventions can be made to help situations that you have described.

I disagree. I've won with teams that have no GWF at all against teams that actually do have one. It comes down to how good your team is collectively. Sure, having a GWF or 2 helps immensely, but it's not 100%.

The best parties have GWF AND a DC so your guildmate is 50% right.

Also, be sure to check the guilds of those playing. Certain guilds have players that are better than most GWFs.

I'd bump your guildmate's statement accuracy down to 25%.

Loss and Win is a +1 -1 matter. What the guildie was most probably trying to "protect" was the K/d ratio, that in unlucky pugs (40-50% for my pvp experience so far) can go 1-10 in a blink.

Two gwfs will win only if the other team has three gwfs.
Your friend should instead make sure to have one more TR.
