My question is rather simple since I need some clarification about this feat or rather definition of it. We had many conversations with my clanmate about only one thing.
Is Student of the Sword a mitigation debuff or is it a damage buff. Now I know how it works, it's just a matter of definition.
My mate tells me that I'm wrong when I say that SotS is a mitigation debuff and that it has nothing to do with mitigation. Is he right?
Please help me with this one cause I'm rather confused.

Treat it as a 5% self damage buff. Nothing to do with damage resistance and mitigation ignored.
