Black Ice Glove Grind...

The Black Ice Gloves are pretty impossible for me to get...I play a lot and I rarely find Remo/Raider Bosses to kill and basically been spending all my time just trying to get the gloves all day every day, nothing, if not even a hardcore player can get them...how is a casual player going to have a chance to get them? I know there are people who have 5 gloves or whatever but it just feels like a broken system if I only see the boss 1 time per 4 hours or whatever it feels like and cant get the gloves...what is it a 1% rate to get gloves? seems so impossible...sometimes I even just get a 25 black ice reward even if I was there for a very long time in the battle...is this the idea though really? make people farm for a month for 14 hours per day to even have a shot at it? I don't get it...you are supposed to make people want to play, not make people want to quit...This is reminding me of the farm for Eye of Lathandar or whatever artifact...I did the daily probably 200+ times and still I never got the artifact...makes no sense, why release content if its near impossible to get? I don't know what I will do...all this time invested in this game and I might just feel its a waste of time to even continue with this...I understand a lot of people are getting their gloves but I am sure most people are not getting them no matter how hard we are trying, its feels impossible...what are we supposed to do to get the gloves? I am very upset and rethinking if this is the game I want to continue supporting...this is such a broken system...If there is a secret someone speak up...I thought I would be able to enjoy all the content in this expansion and so far without the gloves how am I supposed to finish enjoying the content of this expansion? this is not fun at all...everything was going smooth with pvp and stuff, getting all these tasks done and now I wanted to move on to bigger and better things and this is what I have to deal with? no gloves after all this work? call me a whiner but this is not the way a game is supposed to operate...people are supposed to enjoy the game...I like this game for a reason and that reason is cause its not like other games where u have to spent thousands of hours to complete stuff, this game had the feeling of getting things accomplished within reasonable time and effort...the black ice glove farm is proving to be the opposite of the standards neverwinter has been about...yes I know stuff is hard to get like the .01% drop rate of the seldarine in malabog and shard in VT. but we are talking about a set item that is not buyable and there is no option but to have this to complete a set, at least the other stuff were just artifacts that were a bonus to play AND u could buy them...but black ice gloves? really? this is very sad moment for neverwinter...as I said I know a lot of people have their gloves...congratulations...but I want my gloves now! I am doing my best to get them..I can't believe these black ice gloves have turned me into such a big whiner...I am very mad! Fix This Now Please!

Edit: Just now finally got my gloves! secret or just luck is I switched to Arcane Brotherhood and within 10 seconds of going to IWD zone I found a team and killed Remorhaz and got my gloves...I don't know what this means but that was very strange...AB might find teams faster I guess...Thanks and good luck to everyone farming their gloves! :P

Ok...I just did that 5 times in a row just now and got the exact same instance each time...should not even have to do that anyways...but I have exited instance and reentered hundreds of times in an hour or 2 and 99.9% of the time its a complete fail...nothing to find. maybe even 99.999% of the time, lol.

Where do the gloves drop? Do they only drop for the highest ranked player at the event? If so my single target TR is going to have a bad time getting those. :P

Edit: Oh, looks like I missed the -huge- thread in the general forum that answers this!

There is so much FUD about this.

Basically you can get these (as well as the epic weapons) from nearly any blue or purple encounter. It appears to be almost completely random and possibly modified on how long you are in combat for and if you are present for the end of the encounter. I've gotten the epics off of all of the normal rare events like Ancestral Ceremony, Yeti Rampage, Corrupted Bears, Polar Bear Round Up, etc and I've gotten HAMSTER uncommon rewards for the major epics like Rhemoraz, Beholder, Raid the Raiders, etc.

The simple truth is = just do a lot of encounters and eventually you'll get them.

    Here goes:

About 12 days ago, a member of my guild started farming those gloves, 6 hrs a day, ten days straight. After 12 dayys of straight farming and still no gloves, he sent a ticket to GM help. They dismissed the incident with a minor apology and something like this: " we appologise for the inconvenience, the gloves where not unlocked in your lootable items list. We have now made the necesary changes."...and they dropped on his first farm after that.

So he could have farmed all he wanted, they were never going to drop. GM had to unlock in order for him to loot gloves. I have farmed more than 50 Remorhaz, have the title for it, but not the gloves.I have contacted them but have had no answer.

Interesting, pics of the ticket or anything? I've been going for my mainhand for 2 weeks now and would like to see if this is something I could hope for.

I am highly sceptical about this claim, to say the least. Not only does it make no sense, but it reads like an attempt to troll the rabble into a riot.

"Pics or it didn't happen". If it did, I will gladly eat... umm.. a t2 hat :)

Have both on my GF so in case you missed my barracks post here is the tutorial:

    1. Finding an Epic. Two methods I have used. Stepping in and out of zone and checking the map tp get the proper instance. The other if you have more than one toon park your GF right on the spawn point for the Epic you want. Go run dailies with your other toon switching back occasionally to check. This puts you ahead of those going in and out of zone because you have no travel time.

    2. Remo strategy: Not positive but I believe revives count toward Epic result. I cannot gaurantee as there is no empirical test nor mod statement. Confirmed mining when the big remo is burrowed does count. Apparently immovable object also counts. So face-tank Remo loaded with your best single-target attacks then immediately go to mining.

    3. Beholder strategy. No mining phase so the same approach for Remo applies with some bonus tips. Beholder has one big hit that does a preposterous ammount of damage. I think around 30k. Which means if you block it it pretty much reloads your AP bar. So the proceedure is to attack until the big hit, eat it on your shield, Villian's Menace, then launch all your encounters while Menace is up. This not only boosts your damage but you get full immovable points for taking the hit. Bonus: The big hit will probably kill 3-4 others. You are Menaced and CC immune so after dumping on the beholder go pick them up.

    Good Luck.

Got my gloves on Bear Rider Roundup. My only strat was go mad wizard on every group of mobs that I could and dodge like a naked guy running onto the football field avoiding security.

Lesson from this...do not just run Remo.

Thank you so much if this is true. Been farming like a crazy person for several months looking for remo and raiders and they seem to stop showing up for me this past month. I have given up like 4 to 5 times already. So frustrated and wish they would let us buy it and I would gladly buy the BI Pack which is now on sales. Will give it a few more goes. Got the weapon drop early on but for the life of me, no glove!

Hmmm a few more hours of no results HE farming. I am done. Too much dailies with the new mod as it is. Guess I won't need to get the BI Booster Pack that is on sales now after all. Just terrible luck I guess.

Also, if the devs are listening, this should not have been bound like the Draconic drop so that people who cannot farm - time constraints and/or bad luck - can have access to contents through the AH. This has always been the case for most of the contents in this game. People can either drop some resources or put in effort to access contents. Hence the Dread Ring and Sharandar bypass packs etc....and the game can get some monetary support. Having had such bad luck farming for the arm drop for so long, I am reluctant to put anymore effort in. Been months of several hours every 3 days or so.

    This^^^ so much this.
Stop killing your game by making things BoP.
There is literally ZERO reason for anyone to go back and run through an area if all they give is BOUND items.
Nobody is going to grind HEs for a 5k salvageable item.
Make them BoE and you will see MANY more players in theses areas.

Maybe then you will have some content that is played for longer than it takes to get the boons, and or equipment.
Ive done a couple hundred dragons and a hundred or so HEs in IWD and have to say that pointless grinds like that make me frustrated to the point of logging off and playing a fun game.

To the OP: I got the Eye Of Lathander within a week of getting my last gauntlets. It does in fact drop lol. I've heard that it is a useless grind from so many...but at least with that grind you only grind it once a day, and you know where and when to go to get it.
