Question About Black Ice Gear:

O.K.
I tried a few Forum Searches and couldn't find the answer to this (I'll grant you that I was in all likely hood using the wrong search terms).
If I use my new-found Black Ice Gauntlets to make the Rank Two Purified Black Ice Gauntlets via the Black Ice Shaping Skill would I then be able to use them to make the Rank Three Gauntlets (after allowing the Combat Timer to expire so that they return to their Tier One state) or will I need to find a second pair (or just wait until I hit Rank Three Black Ice Shaping to make the Gauntlets).

P.S.: Sorry it this has already been answered. I just can't for the life of me think up a proper Search Term. I just end up in Threads full of general information, never finding this particular answer.

    Just make the gloves then use black ice to empower them to tier 3 , you don't need to let the timer run down, when you open the empowerment interface you can fill the gloves all the way up to tier 3 as long as you have enough spare refined black ice .

    When you craft your purified or corrupt black ice gloves you will end up with either tier 1 , 2 or 3 gloves depending on what quality assets you use , if you end up with tier 2 gloves all you need to do is equip them ,open the gloves tooltip and at the bottom you will see the empowerment option , click that and you open the interface to empower your black ice gear , this is what you use to fully empower your black ice gear.

    That is not true. All will always start empowered at halfway through tier 2. Higher crafting results give you Black Ice back.
