What happens when the combat timer runs out on your black ice gear... does it just vaporize, or does it revert back to a non corrupt/purified state... can it be revitalized, and what happens to the enchantments that are in it, do you get those back... thanks in advance for any help you can give me...

Patience young grasshopper, you do not always get a response in minutes of posting, and this information and your question has been posted numerous times and you could of searched for it. But I will state it all again.

IT depends on the black ice item.

Black Ice gear drops down from t3 to t2 to t1 and remains there. You can empower black ice gear at any time, assuming you have the very little black ice needed.

Black ice Enchants when the timer runs out just as you put it "Vaporize" ( good term lol.) You have to slot a new overload enchantment.

Thank you for the enlightenment oh wise one... you've been most helpful... alas patience is not one of my virtues.. however I did search for an answer and found only this...

"The Black Ice Overload enchantments just expire. When they are used up, they are used up and have to be replaced. You cannot recharge these enchantments.
Actually when they empowerment expires the enchant vanishes from the item it is attached to."

Oh look, it's from you... However, I didn't find anything about the gear itself... Anyways, thank again...

Well if you factor in real-world physics, the enchantments just melt. :P

Gear goes down a tier, from 3->2->1->0, and it will stay at tier 0 indefinitely. At that point, it requires 3k black ice to restore to full charge again (T3), at least for gloves/boots/helm, likely more for mainhand/chest.
