AD and zen exchange

The good thing about the AD and zen exchange is that you don't need to pay any exchanging fees. But now zen are getting more and more valuable, and we can not offer higher than 500 AD for one zen. If this trend continue, people will go to the AH to do exchanging indirectly. In this way, we have to pay 10% fees for this. Not a good deal :(

AD Zen exchange is based by the people selling... Not sure what you're hoping to accomplish on the forums. It's basic economics, the more demand people have the higher the prices. I already use the AH to exchange directly once AD/Zen exchange gets too high. Let me explain. I take a look at the cost in AD for the item I want. Usually keys for lockboxes. If the price on the AH is cheaper, I buy it there, if it's cheaper on the exchange I exchange and buy it with zen. If people are exchanging across the board on the AH, eventually AD/Zen exchange will drop because people aren't using it. And it will pick up again as prices drop.

The auction house eats an AD cost for a reason. Because cryptic needs to make money. It's a simple fact that if we want this game to live, some of us have to spend real cash. The AH creates an AD siphon on the economy. Much like taxes ;) (That's just a joke). It slowly funnels out AD, so the economy starts hurting for AD. The people with money to spend will be more likely to purchase zen at this point. It's a good strategy.

Once the demand for keys drops the Zen value will drop on the exchange by roughly 40%.

Zen is account wide. You don't need to transfer it.

If you want to transfer AD then do exactly what you should have done in the past: place a a bid for Zen which is under-priced and cancel it.

I don't see what the AD Value of Zen has to do with your ability to transfer AD via the Zen Exchange?

There's an event coming up where you need to spend AD. It'll probably lower somewhat then.

I hope so, but I have a feeling that maybe the AD supply is too much nowadays.

I see your point. It is true that AH can also work as a AD sink and push people to buy zen. It is just pushing the prices higher now and hurts me. Well, I guess I have to deal with it.

I am not saying transfer AD. It is just that the up bound for AD value of Zen makes it is hard to buy zen items now. Because somehow we have to pay 'tax' via AH.
