Dread Ring progression

Study thayan writings= you advance 1 a day
Decipher Thayan writing= you advance 1 in 2 days

Is this how is supposed to be? am i doing something wrong?

    You can advance faster toward the admantine gauntlet at the expense of the main boon path. I'm not certain if it is a direct 1:2 ratio, though...

    I don't remember exactly, but the higher levels did take multiple days.. I remember when doing them thinking things like 'yay this guy gets his next boon today.' or being bummed when I realized I was two days away. It's one tick per day. I do a few days before I think about that gauntlet. Boons always first, for me.

    If you don't do any of the gauntlet tasks until after you've finished with the boons, you can get enough scrolls from the Red Wizards quest to keep daily progression to the end. If you do upgrade your gauntlets, you'll get stuck in the pattern shown in the OP.

    The two bottlenecks in DR are the Ciphers and the scrolls.

    Ranking up can still be done in a single day as the cost in Ciphers does not increase, and always stays at one.
    After rank 7, each rank starts to require 10 scrolls. This can be a bottleneck because you can only earn 5 scrolls per day from knox's daily. The extra 30 you get from the weekly, however, can really offset this. Something you cant do with the Ciphers.

    If you have been building up a small stockpile of the scrolls while you ranked up the first 7 levels. You should have plenty to maintain a 1 per day rank advancement.
