First off, THANK YOU. I really enjoy my new "Silverback Bear" mount that came with completing the "Dungeon Master Rank 8" Foundry Achievement (as well as the Icosahedron Ioun Sone that came with Rank 9). It's really cool having a new purple-level mount for all my characters on the account.
However, there are a couple of problems with the Silverback Bear -- things that may not have received much attention because I suspect this reward is still pretty uncommon at this point.
(1) My characters tend to float a few inches above the back of the bear. It's almost as if they're positioned for a saddle of some sort, but the bear doesn't have a saddle. I can see the gap below the character's tush as the bear gallops along.
(2) When summoning the bear, it whinnies like a horse. Wrong sound file attached to it?
(3) The description of the bear says, "Bears trained as mounts are ferocious steeds, leading strong warriors into battle. This one is heavily armored." However, this bear is most definitely not armored. It's a naked brown bear, just like the lowest level Grizzly available in the Zen Market, except there's a strip of silvery-tinted fur running along its back.
Personally, I wish the Silverback Bear WAS "heavily armored" as in the description. Since it's a rare reward at the end of a LOT of work, it would be neat if the bear kind of stood out visually more. I can't imagine there very many of these mounts floating about in the game these days, so they're certainly not worth a lot of developing attention. However, considering the hundreds of hours of work they represent, perhaps it would be possible to simply take the "Armored Bear" model and use it instead? Blacken the fur and tint the armor a different color, perhaps? Or, maybe even plus that up just a little bit so that it's a unique reward? (I'm thinking something as simple as glowing blue eyes or some other effect that fits the difficulty of the Achievement...?)
Just a thought...
Meanwhile, if the Devs get a moment to fix the bugs with the bear, that would be terrific.

I'm going to add one more bug to the list now that I have this mount myself.
It requires level 60 instead of level 20 like most mounts. Rather annoying when I want to use it on a leveling character.
I'd personally suggest making this have no minimum level since it's so hard to get, but I can see where they might not want to do that so at least switching it to level 20 would be nice.
And I can confirm that it still whinnies like a horse, but the other bugs are fixed.
Neverwinter players are stubborn things....until you strip them down to bone. (Cursed players, my flowers, MINE!) Oh how I plotted their demise.

Notice Ruffiana's Ewwwwwwwwww. It very likely did get fixed. Are the other issues fixed as well?

But it still whinnies like a horse when summoned.
And the description still says it's heavily armored though it doesn't have any armor.
And it needs glowing blue eyes. Seriously.
