Safe Keeping: Caer-Konig Reputation and Rewards Missing

The rewards for the quest Safe Keeping in Icewind Dale have a chance of not applying when completed. I did a full round of Dwarven Valley and Icewind Pass daily quests on two characters, including talking to the same faction leader--one came out with 60 Caer-Konig Reputation and the other remained at 50, as well as missing the rest of the reward of 10 Konig Coins and probably the Black Ice as well. A fellow guild-mate had mentioned the same problem earlier on their own character when trying to unlock Dwarven Valley.

One possible explanation was that Safe Keeping was completed too quickly and the reward didn't register, similar to a looting and mailbox item bug. I took the time on the second character to pause and check the in-dialogue rewards and it seems to have worked, but it doesn't help the one missing campaign progress.

    I'm necroing this, as I have missed getting reputation for "safe keeping" several times now. I seem to be stuck at 170 rep and am really getting tired of running this over and over without a reward. And yes, I unlocked Dwarven Valley long, long ago. I was getting rewards from this quest without any issues, until the last several attempts. Any word on whether there is a fix?
