It depends, you could get some pvp geatr by doing pvp, you could get pve gerar by doing dungeons. Also you should start making the Feywild and Dread ring campaigns to get your boons, those are useful both for pvp and pve.
Also, you probably know that the new module is coming tomorrow though, that'll add more things to do, but to be able to get to the new maps you need at least 10k GS and the first 3 boons from either Dread ring or Feywild campaigns.
Spam dailies like crazy, first up. Dread Ring is the least annoying option, though I'd do Sharandar too. This will give you boons and random purple gear for upgrades. Pick up your free artifact from the quest that starts in Protector's Enclave, too.
Then later on, once you have the GS and boons, you can hit the mod 3 dailies too. Meantime, you can more or less start T2s now to gear up a bit. Consider picking up some PvP gear too, by hook or crook. The new Tenacity stat is pretty much a "must have" if you want to PvP these days.
It's been a long while since iv'e played I have a level 60 TR and my GS is only 8900 what should I be doing to get back into the game.
Like you, I have a TR60 and returned to the game after months two days ago. What I did was start with a HR lvl 50, get my sorry behind handed to me by the first enemies I found, and switched to a GWF lvl 33. I played with her a bit as she's an unstoppable killing machine, then switched to my TR and went into the Mad Dragon Epic dungeon. With a few minutes to catch up with my HR and GWF, as well as nice players accepting that I was a bit rusty, it didn't take long before I got back into the game and started having a lot of fun again. It's like riding a bike. Once you learn it, you never really forget it.
