If you are a really good tank go Briartwine,and i think life drinker(use these if your defensive)if offensive go other way around IMO

on your armor go for "lesser soulforged" at the beginning, but when you become really good with your GF change for "superior/perfect negation", which provides 25% damage resistance for 6/7 seconds every 60 seconds. With the new mod 3 get the sigil of the guardian artifact, too, because it gives 80% damage resistance for 10 seconds every 120 seconds when you level it to lv100.

on your weapon use plague fire/greater plague fire if you are tactician/protector. Use greater/perfect vorpal if you have more than 23% critical chance (around 2300 points on crit) and you are a conqueror.

briart is almost an useless enchant. At perfect version you;ll get a 80K dmg from getting hit and that is if u can hold agro. Soulforge is rly useful from lesser and u can stay at lesser for all pve part.

lifedrinker on GF is useless, you weapon dmg is too low. Vorpal is also not a good pick for GF since power got reworked and now u dont rly want more than 1200-1600 crit. You can pick: Plaguefire (mind that if someone else has one in the grp it wont stack), Bronzewood (seems to be the pick for pvp), Feytouch and maybe bilethorn/lightning(very expensive enchants). PF and Bronze are at half the price.

So i suggest you go Bronzewood/Lesser Soulforge for biggest gain per price.

Why not terror? Terrors are supercheap, and only need to be applied once, rather than the 3 stacks you need with plaguefire. Sure, if you can get all three stacks up, PFs are better, but if we don't really have that much sustained AoE stuff.

Plus as noted, PFs don't stack, and it's pretty common for CWs to have one, whereas CWs with terrors seem to be rarer.

Vorpal is viable for GF conqueror with high power and crit chance, i have it, believe me i often crit in pvp and with a rotation of powers i can almost kill any other class. Plague fire over terror because in pve you have AoE attaks, so it works just fine, in pvp you might struck in combat with a GWF, or other GF. in a 1vs1 you have the better hance to win lowering 45% of their defense.
