Which CW PvP Gear set is clearly superior?

Ive recently re-activated - it has been almost a year I guess. Left just after gauntlgrym came out, so I have all my Gauntlgrym old-pvp gear (HP, no tenacity).

I'm trying to figure out which set to go for, it seems to be between the Renegade Grim and the Thaumatruge Grim. Any advice? It seems the Renegade Grim you lose a ton of HP and defence vs the old set, while the Thaumaturge Grim you lose a lot of recovery.

Are there clear preferences out there?

    Recovery isn't THAT important to begin with , 2k or less is fine .

    Thanks - what about the accessories? How is power scaling for us nowadays? Warding? Defiance?
