Hi, Everyone

That link is direct from my steam screenshots. Not sure what section I was meant to put this in but I thought it should be known to people that this happened and it's a constant threat in the never winter chat zones.

Spam Bots: I am sure you guys are already well aware of the fake website spamming that constantly floods the chat logs day in and out. Any news of possibly installing a chat monitor or something to help combat the problem? I have heard a few people making complaints in game because of accidentally making a purchase through those fake websites.

Aside from this I think the game is absolutely amazing I really enjoy it and look forward to sticking around for a long time. This is my first ever thread and I apologize for it being a negative one I hope I didn't do anything wrong by posting this up.

Please report spammers using the ingame function (GM > Behavior) or right click the name and select "Report Spam". Do not post screenshots (or links to screenshots) of any sort on the forums as this is a violation of Rules of Conduct. (whether the behavior is obvious or not, naming and shaming is prohibited as a matter of consistency).

As to why...it's a back and forth battle. To us, they're an annoyance; to the spammers, this is their paycheck...so they're not going to just go quietly into that good night. The report queue IS monitored, however, it's simply too slow a process. Most spam accounts live long enough to drop their three messages, get muted, and use another throwaway account to spam some more.

Alright well sorry for posting the link I just thought providing some proof might be more useful than just accusing somebody of something but rules are rules and noted. thank you.

Reporting them in game will get them outright muted in short order and banned upon actual staff review.

Issue is this is a free to play game. When they get muted and banned they make another account.
But it's better to report them than to just let them keep spamming.
