It sure would be nice if we could normal non-aggressive animals into our foundries. Sure we can add pigs and wolves and such but what about deer, squirrels, rabbits, birds that actually fly in the sky or perch, opossums, foxes etc.

We do have several circling birds details that can be added.

Individual NPC: Bear, Boar, Cat, Chicken, Hawk, Horse, Panther, Pig, Tiger, Wolf
    Circling Detail Assets: Crows, Ravens

But definitely at least most of the ones that already exist in Sharandar and others would be nice.

I absolutely agree! We can see them in official quests, but we can't use them in our own. I was running the intro quest to Dread Ring with yet another character, and a little deer ran right across my path. My thought wasn't "Oh, look, a deer" it was "******, I want that!"

More giant versions of normal animals would be nice too, since D&D is full of them. Giant rats, bats, snakes, lizards, beetles, crayfish....

Seriously, how can you have a level 1 adventure without giant rats??

Exactly! Most console games I play have giant rats as level 1 baddies! KoA, DA, ect.

    That made me giggle

I would love to be able to have a deer run by or a fox. And place a frog on a lily pad or on the side of a waterfall.
The problem with the birds as is, they fly way too low and just hoover there.

Nobody seems to have noticed, but my "Missing Children" quest has a hawk (familiar) circling slowly overhead... on a ring of invisible walls laid flat, set to circular patrol. That's a lot of work for one hawk that most if not all people won't even notice, but shows how much I agree with your wish for more regular animals (and as details, not part of the precious NPC budget!) available for Foundry.

    Greetings

I believe it all boils down to animations. The only reason 99% of our encounter/NPC lists are humanoids is that the humanoid animation is the easiest form and many monsters from Dungeons and Dragons are humanoid Orcs, Goblins, Ogres, Minotaurs, (oops ignore that one) and so on. A new animal available (If you want it to look right) has a whole new set of animations such as how it moves when it runs or jumps. The way it looks when it lands on the ground with its wings folded up or hops around on the ground when it's not flying. How does it feel for the Wererats when the Werewolves actually have an animal form available, but not for the lowly Wererat. We could see a Weretiger with what's available, or dare I say Minotaur with what's available now. Keeping this aspect in mind the animals/creatures I would most likely want to see are. Buzzards (can't have a corpse without them and not stuck in perpetual flight), Lizards (not the two legged kind), Centipedes (Many monsters use this model), Bats (again, not in perpetual flight), Snakes (who doesn't like a big old snake) Rats (poor Wererats), and the giant versions of these. There has to be half a dozen giant lizards alone. I'm gonna climb down off my soapbox now. Thanks for listening to my frustrations.

I'd be fine if they'd stretch the mesh of a boar to look like a deer. Simple reskin, and who cares if it runs like a deer/boar? lol
Besides, we have the Fawn of Shailia already in the game, and I'm pretty sure deer would be most requested forest creature.
