Hi there with family and life I don't hvae a lot of time on my hands. I have played the game for a bit but, seem to not find a lot of central information like a guidebook which would be helpful for newbies in the game. Please bear with me as I have a lot of questions that I need help with and I have searched the forums before posting.

money
1)What are zen and how do you get them?
2) Can rough diamonds be converted to zen and if so how?
3)Other than the daily stuff how do you get diamonds?
4)For newbies and people with not much time on their hands how can you make money quickly to buy stuff?
5)Can I turn diamonds into gold to buy stuff and how?
6) Celestial coins, ow do I spend them? I have 7
7)Ardent coins, how and what do I send them on? I have 7

exploring
1)People have mentioned doing quests over the daily stuff. Is that best?
2)People have mentioned campaigns and i see two of them in there butt, how do you get access?
3)how do i get to mansoon?
4)How do you get better weapons?
5)How do you get extra bags?
6)I hear zone rewards. what are they and how do you get them?
7)I have all these sigils I have collected in each I guess location but, when I go to bounty hunter they don't take them. What gives? Is this broken?

Professions
1)What are these and how do they relate to the game? How do I use them? Right now I just keep training leadership and can't open any of the other ones to train.

Bag info
1) I have this unearthed lock box (152) requires a enchanted key. How do I get this key and where?

Thanks everyone and sorry for the long post

Good adventuring.

M1&2 - Zen is the cash shop currency. You can get it using real money or by trading with other players. 1$ US is 100 Zen, other nations will have their own exchange rates. To get Zen from another player, use the Astral Diamond Exchange button at the top of your sceen. You can either select an existing offer or post your own. The prices are player driven and not set by Cryptic/PW.

M3 - Besides Dailies, you can acquire Rough Astral Diamonds using either the Leadership profession or by finding and salvaging epic level 60 items. (Salvage vendor quest is available at level 60, talk to Sgt. Knox who will send you to Neverember)

M4 - Best ways to make money quickly usually involve the AH. Check out this thread.

M5 - the above link should answer this, but you can buy cheap level 60 blue gear on the AH and sell that for gold.

M6&7 - You can look at the respective stores for both currencies either by clicking the little star icon near your mini-map or through the currency tab of your inventory. Note that Celestial Coins can only be accumulated up to seven. Ardent coins have no known limit.

1)People have mentioned doing quests over the daily stuff. Is that best?
Daily quests are for campaign progression, Rough Astral Diamonds (RAD) or PVP rewards. Do the campaign ones for the boons, but look over the rewards offered and the campaign progression. Not all offered quests are required to progress through the campaign. Do the others as you see fit for RAD or PVP rewards as you see fit. You can't refine more than 24,000 RAD a day, so depending on what other things you do, the dailies may not be worth it.
2)People have mentioned campaigns and i see two of them in there butt, how do you get access?
    Talk to Sgt. Knox.
3)how do i get to mansoon?
    Not sure what this is.
4)How do you get better weapons?
Before level 60, you get them as quest rewards, dropped loot or from the AH. As a fresh level 60, most people will get either a blue one or a cheap purple one from the AH. You can also get decent starter weapons from the campaigns or by trading in epic seals (Unicorn or Drake) Dungeons that drop Epic weapons - Gray Wolf Den drops T1, Dread Vault drops T2, CN-VT-MC drop the second highest grade of weapons. The best ones have to be made using crafting. Parts for those drop in VT and MC but can be bought on AH.
5)How do you get extra bags?
You get 2 free ones while leveling for a total of 3. Further bags can be acquired in the Zen store or on the AH.
6)I hear zone rewards. what are they and how do you get them?
Those are the campaign rewards. When you start a campaign the primary quest giver will explain them.
7)I have all these sigils I have collected in each I guess location but, when I go to bounty hunter they don't take them. What gives? Is this broken?
The bounty master accepts tokens from the particular zone. They allow you to buy either a seal or a treasure cache. The seals have to be traded to a seal vendor. Some maps have them, but there is one of each in Protector's Enclave. You can trade the seals for blue gear.
    Professions
1)What are these and how do they relate to the game? How do I use them? Right now I just keep training leadership and can't open any of the other ones to train.
There are two professions applicable to all classes. Alchemy and Leadership. Then each class will have two other professions that are meaningful to them one for their armor and one for their weapon/orb/symbol. To start working on a profession, click on its tab and select the task, "Hire your first...' worker.

Enchanted keys come from the Zen store. Opening lockboxes is a gamble and usually only pays off if you open a lot of them.

Well covered so far, but I'd like to reiterate the suggestion of keeping up with Leadership. Take 5-10 minutes twice a day to cycle that via the Gateway (no need to fire up the whole game for just a few jobs). Once you hit Level 20 with it, you're guaranteed 10k/day diamonds if you keep up with it. (and to make it easier to keep up, I also recommend buying some Man-at-Arms or Adventurers as they cut the time of tasks down and allow for more flexibility in your schedule). Also RE: Professions, you can currently get Alchemy workers and assets for extremely low prices; these are great for unlocking some of the task slots (Tier 3 result, 100% speed) and can be shared with future characters.

Thanks for all your helpful hints. IN my professions resources bag I have a huge amount of stuff but not sure what is applicable or not or how to use it. Any helpful hints?

On the bounty hunter stuff, if the sigils, etc are in my bag when I click on the appropriate bounty hunter how do I cash in these items?

I recommend you peruse the Neverwinter Wiki (when you have time; I know: LOL) - the Economy FAQ portion of the wiki is linked in my signature and probably should be a prerequisite for new players of Cryptic-authored games.

The best advise I can offer is this: try not to put real money into your first character (only what you can earn an convert in-game) unless it is account-bound. Chances are that once you gain enough play-experience you'll want to change stuff around, like rerolling a different race or class, etc.

Items that are bound to your character are stuck with it. If you decide to trash that character and roll a new one, you lose everything that is bound to that character.

I also have a life and you didn't searched the forum, or read the tutorials or even read the cryptic faq about the game on most questions you posted.

zen, how to spend, what is a freaking key and lockboxes, bags, professions, celestial coins, all this have their own in game help.

Actually I have and for example the enchanted key no where when you click over the key does it tell you where to get it. Before you burn get a life. I don't waste all my life playing this game like you seem to do. A smart game would under the tab for example profession have a write up how to use it. That should be on each tab but that would be to logical wouldn't it.

What do you mean? When you reach the level when you can unlock professions, you get a quest that explains it. The game also gives a quest explaining about the celestial coins and invoking. And when your character first gets AD, a help text pops up about it.

Unfortunately it can only be sorted by name, not by what it's used for. Each item will tell you what professions it goes with (some only one, others go with multiple professions) when you hover the cursor over it.
On the bounty hunter stuff, if the sigils, etc are in my bag when I click on the appropriate bounty hunter how do I cash in these items?
The Bounty Master will allow you to buy the items he or she has using the bounty tokens as currency. When you talk to them, take the option to look at their store. Each item will list the appropriate currency for the map as a cost. At the bottom of the window, it will show you how many of the tokens you have. For the normal maps, there are two options. Seals which cost 20 tokens or treasure caches which cost 10. Examples of the tokens are Many Arrows Insignia, Blue Fire Icon, Dwarven Relic. Seals are Lion, Manticore and Pegasus (also Unicorn and Drake but those are from epic dungeons) You can also get seals from dungeon bosses appropriate to the level of the dungeon. Bounty Master has an icon that looks like a wanted poster. Seal vendor has an icon that looks like a clump of seals. You buy from the seal vendor the same way. Look at their store. Each item will show the cost in seals. The number of seals that you have will be shown at the bottom of the store window.

    Professions supplies -

Most of these are logical such as pelts for leatherworking, and scraps for tailoring. Some may seem a little less obvious such as wood which is used in a few crafts.

When you click on the option for a particular craft it'll have one space that says "Gather ________". Those are base items for that craft.

There are other special items for augmented recipies like Fundamental Lightning, or Symbol of Tempus.

All items for crafting are sellable on the Auction House. You do need to physically open your inventory then do a drag and drop of the item in order to list it though. Press CTRL before you click on it for a drag and drop to bring up the menu for how many of X you want to sell.

The higher profits in crafting supplies for the Auction House are in the more refined ones such as Bolt of Cotton Cloth rather than Cotton Scraps. Anything green rank sells better than a white rank, etc.

Put in the time and effort, and you'll get a lot out of the game. Best advice I can give.
