I thought it was going to be a good Idea to make a Drow nature HR, but little did I know there was a HUGE bug involved with them.

The Racial ability, "Dark Fire", It has a 5% chance to decrease the targets Defense by 10% for 4 seconds. Sounds good right?

Well Now here's the bug. When ever you cast a buff ability on you and your teammates they have a chance to get debuffed by Dark fire, weather it be Oak Skin, Boar Hide, Fox's Cunning, Stag Heart, or Hawk Eye.

I didn't think it was a big of a deal until I realized 10% defense debuff was a 300 stat debuff on my Tank allies if they have 3000, which is the equivalent of a Rank 10 Azure.

In the long run I saw that on average of casting this ability in a full 5 man team that it almost always gives the Dark Fire debuff to 2 out of 5 of them. Which is kind of odd considering it's suppose to be a 5% chance. It atleast procs on one of my teamates about 80% of the time when I cast a buff ability.

Meaning in the long run, until this get's fixed Drow HRs will be hindering their Teammates much more than they will be supporting them.

While this affects the HR the most, this is a problem for all party buffs of all classes.

It's worst on Clerics , its also a bug that has been around forever and the developers have allowed to run and run despite it being reported numerous times.

Yeah, it appears to be a bug with the Drow in general, no matter which class. If it's a buff at-will, encounter, or daily. There's a chance you will end up transferring Dark fire to your allies.

It should just not be able to be transferred to friendly targets what so ever.

I wonder why this game have so many bugs, I'm drow and I'm continuously giving buffs to my party in PvP/PvE, I hope this is fixed...

Yep, the Drow Cleric bug has been around from the very beginning. Any direct player-to-player buff proc can add Faerie/Dark Fire. Hopefully now that HRs are noticing it, they might fix it. Thanks for reporting it!

Unfortunately I feel that they think this is a non issue. I have a Drow Cleric and its happened only on two occasions to me, or more importantly, to the players I healed! They were skirmishes and not dungeons. This ranks right up there with deflection deflecting buffs!

But this has existed since launch, along with a host of other issues that have been allowed to go without being fixed. So, back to my first sentence, it must be a non-issue to them.

LOL.. guess I should have searched bug reports before I created my shiny, just reached 60 Drow Cleric. Although one would hope he could just expect things to work as intended. Heh.. oh well.. Clerics are good for prayer at least.. I guess that's all I'll do for now.. unless someone wants to run with me? Anyone?

How about the ability to dodge potions, heals, buffs, even your own encounter! #bugsincebeta

Well I don't know how frequently it happens on Drow clerics, my cleric is a human, but I know that all of the HRs buff abilities almost ALWAYS apply the debuff to one of your teamates. I've even had it apply the buff to literally all five of them on a couple of occasions.

Run screaming from Drow clerics too, then. They have been a liability since beta, I think (if you include the Mez Renegade, which also suffers similar problems). Now a divine sunburst not just scatters mobs and wrecks group DPS, but can debuff the group to boot! Bad clerics working for the enemy..? :)

The Drow race needs a second look at. Not only because of the Darkfire bug, which is obviously broken, but also its second class feature is just useless. Anyone who needs to spend time at a camp fire will not really care if it heals them twice as fast or at normal speed. Those who run dungeons in a party will use an injury kit, because nobody will want to wait for one, not even for a Drow. When everyone else uses an injury kit does one use one, too, and not starts being the last one. I do not even know if it actually does heal injuries twice as fast or if it is only the health regeneration of camp fires. And in PvP does it not provide any boost when it comes to the healing spots and where it may have been useful in the game play.
    Stay frosty.

Ikr xD?, Oh my god, 1 drow in our team took 1.34 seconds less to heal in the campfire!, it's incredible!!! xD

All the other races have better bonus ¬¬.

Exactly. Just yesterday did I have the lucky opportunity to test my Drow's injury healing ability at a camp fire. Turns out it is the same 3:00 minutes as for any other race. So this does not get a boost either. Only those incredible 1.34 seconds make the difference.

If it did heal injuries in PvE faster and allowed to gain faster life at health spots in PvP then it would be an interesting feature.
