Moderate PVP-Stealth-TR

Is there a build for a normal PVP-TR? I dont wanna be the best and I dont have to be invulnerable permastealth. Is the Stealth-TR for pvp a all-or-none?

I search a build where I can play Drow and im not bound to halfling. Aimed for normal T2-set and R6 enchantments. My main is a PvE GF on that I spend my AD so for this TR it have to be normal Endgame stuff. I also play PvE TR in PvP so I know the basics and can handle them.

My 2cent.

If you don't have R7 don't even come PVP man, they are so affordable nowaday, they used to be 120 K for each now cost 35-50K.

When I see someone slot something below R7 in PVP I pretty much wanna put him in my ignore.

And to your build question. Mod 3 incoming, things gonna change even for TR, so might just as wait and see.

Permastealth is the only viable build atm, regardless if you use vorpal or bile, you need ITC and Shadow Strike, and you should get stealth feat. Because any smart player would focus a non-stealth TR and kill u quickly, a combat TR are the second easiest thing to kill besides the usual scrub CWs.

You can play as a "combat rogue" but this option is not as viable as permastealth when you play against competent enemy.

Though...permastealth can be tough too. It really depends on who is playing against you.

Just tell me if there is a build for normal T2-Setitems and R6 or 7 Enchantments. The Stealth-TR-Builds i found were for hight gear. R8 and Weapons from Malabog/Valindra. And I want to play as Drow and not halfling. May be the best but I dont like halflings. ^^

Combat TR can not hold point, can not win 1 v 1 against another stealth build TR/GWF/HR, or even a good CW would send you back to spawn.

So why is Combat TR viable again?

And by walking into PVP with gear that are absolute nuubish just show you have little respect to PVP, do you go on first date with your pajama? No as a matter of fact you don't go outside on your pajama. Same reason why u should at least gear yourself(put on clothes) before you go to PVP. R7 is 100% attainable by anyone in the game with almost 0 effort, a couple runs in dungeon with a nice EPIC item would give u enough AD to afford full R7 on your toon. If you can't even do that then you are either lazy or have no clue about the game, either one would be a good reason why I should put you on ignore.

I don't value player with their gear, but a player's gear often reflects something about himself.

I have full rank 10s plus perfect, and my GS is 14.3K. So no I never value people with GS, nor should anyone. GS is a bad standard for player's actual effectiveness in PVP.

I'd like to offer correction to above, based from firsthand knowledge of a combat rogue. The above statement applies only to STRIKER rogues, who put all on offense and very little to defense. The better half of Combat TR would spec into defensive, immunity and dodges, and are as difficult to kill 1v1 as most Combat HR. When focused on by 3 or 4 people with CC, a highly defensive TR would fall, just as would any class.

There isn't any build written in stone (or in the forums for that matter) for this exact purpose--because achieving this is really simple. Just mash in Shadow Strike to your encounter rotation and Tenacious Concealment as passive. If you wanted to go overboard, go with a full profound set with stealth bonus, but that's not a good idea as late as now, because Black Ice is the new BiS and doesn't have this bonus.

Any build that uses Shadow Strike for leverage can be considered a semi-stealth build.

R7 to R8 are not a big difference. Weapon set can be swapped with PVP weapon or Thayan daggers.

It would work on the build u find, the concept of BUILD in this game are not that sinificant, as long as you aim at the right direction, losing a little bit here and there don't break games unless we talking about Top level PVP.

If you use shadow strike and ITC with a defensive set up then you are using the perma build pretty much. Especially when you spec some stealth related feat or gear.

If you are not one of the above then you will die really quickly. Regardless how skillful you are.

You take PvP as some big event. For an average pug it's no more than just a way of earning rAD.
Also I know some quite competent players that run PvP with rank 6s because they can't stand PvE or got close to no time time for that. Besides, not many people take rogues in their party nowdays you know, so it's hard to find a party unless you have a guild.

There are many reason why players run PvP with low rank enchantments and all of them are reasonable. And there is no such things like "respect" or "sportsmen like behavior" in PvP. You can act the way you want and think that it's gonna be an example for others but it won't change anything. The people will still act as they please and do what they want.


P.S On the side note, putting people on ignore won't prevent you from partying with them. So there is no point

Thx. I dont want to stand against PVP Guilds and Premates. I dont want to be invisible 24/7. Just want a TR in PVP and have fun with normal random groups. So I took drow and take one of the builds for modul 3. Get the mulhorand-weapons so I can level via pvp.

If you use PVP as a way to earn AD you are stupid, just like a PUG. There is a reason why we have a name such as PUG for them, because they have no skill, no gear and no knowledge to this game.

With the same logic, we'd be better off just simply putting to sleep every little league, junior league, and college level amateuer sports competition in works just because they not on par with any MLB, NBA or NFL competition. In your narrow and bigoted definition only those currently in professional sports would ever be able to enjoy, have fun, or even claim to others they do sports since every other aspect of the sport in hand does not "qualify", and therefore, are f***ing worthless.

People have different approach, different fun factors and different emphasis on the game they play. Which one is more important is for them to decide, not you. How the royal f*** you are so arrogant as to define who cares and who does not is frankly beyond me, and beyond all understanding. You represent what, like 1% at most of the population of people who play the PvP aspect of this game and what do you think gives you the right to judge who is worthy and who not?

Your kind of attitude is exactly what brings an already small PvP community down to its knees. Actually, PuG is just an acronym for Pick-up Group. Only a fool would use it as an insult. Particularly as there are plenty of geared and/or skilful people pugging.

I am new to the game and I love the pvp with my Perma Stealth TR w/ only 9k gs and r5 in my enchants. Does the above requirements are necessary in pvp? if yes then its quite disheartening to new players like me, I still don't have the cash/time to put in my toon.

Having been a hard core raider in the past... first Everquest (yes.. the original).. then WoW... I have one word of advice.. to people of fancy themselves "l33T"...

How is this game helping you get ahead in life? Is it helping you find a Girlfriend/Boyfriend (I don't judge...)? Are you getting better grades/promotions at work?

Because I've been there... I can say... none of the above... MMORG's are great entertainment... you may even feel a sense of accomplishment... by being able to do ****.. that others find hard or impossible...

In the end... you are just killing time... so my advice... do the **** that helps you get ahead FIRST... then if you still have some time to kill.. please by all means.. enjoy yourself.

For in the end... having a girlfriend/boyfriend... making more money... and investing in yourself (exercise, personal appearance)... bring a much longer.. lasting satisfaction.
