Now, I completely agree with not being able to re-queue for PvP after leaving a match early, however I am 100% against the fact it prevents you from joining ANY content. I got a disconnect from a PvP match, and knowing that DD was soon, decided to just say whatever to it, and take a break. Our team was vs a premade and the score was like 800 - 20 or so. Now, I log back on and guess what, I can not join my DD event. Which, to me, is seriously messed up. Fine, don't join PvP for a while, I can live with that, but to prevent me from participating in any content, and prevent me from enjoying a game....
They want to punish you for leaving. They want to discourage it. They also want to protect other players from being "paired up" with a so-called "leaver".
I thinks it's okay to make it prevents you from joining any content, but i'm against it to be 30 mins, maybe 15 mins should be ok or something like that...

It's supposed to be a punishment.
Stop making excuses. Be a man. If you know something to be broken, stop using it. Otherwise, you've got no right to be speaking of 'balance.'

So? You got punished. That's what you deserved. You abandoned your teammates. Because of you, they weren't as strong as they could be. Of course your team may have lost, but you are there to fight, cap, kill and, most importantly, practice. There are also personal points and a quite useful item if you end up on top of the scoreboard, no matter if you lose or win. You weakened your team and you got punished.
But if you did, would you be able to join PVP instantly?
The current penalty only makes sense if leaving PVE is punished as well.
I do wish there was a punishment system for leaving PVE as well (without affecting those parties that cannot just finish the dungeon due to lack of skill/gear etc or have intent at the beginning of farming half of the dungeon).
That's right people, we must have a leaver penalty to prevent those nefarious PVP leavers from leaving the match and "ruining the experience" of the other 9 players. See, when you join a PVP match, you should show some respect for your fellow players and fight to the bitter end, even if it is totally clear the other team isn't showing you any respect and is just farming you for easy glory.
However, twinking in low-level PVP is totally okay and legit, even though it also ruins the experience of at least 5 other players. Because, hey, everyone's doing it. And who cares about lowbie pugs anyway. They don't deserve any respect.

Well it really wasn't a big problem months ago until they removed the AD cost of removing enchants along with enchantment prices crashing and a lot of people being able to afford rank 10s or multiple sets of rank 7/8s for all their alts.
Chances are, we might see a restriction implemented in the future since more and more people are bringing this issue up and providing good arguments

I was left in a party of ONE once in PvP. It sucked.
I approve of a early leaver rage quit penalty for PvP. If you die once, twice, or three times it's no big deal. It happens. It can even be your JOB in PvP to distract the other team to run after you for kills.
Whilst a person may not enjoy being blocked from joining other events for awhile the rest of us may feel grateful we're not going to get stuck in a party with yet ANOTHER person just leaving party since it's not "perfect" for them.
Heck, it has probably helped to prevent a lot of those bugged parties as of late with people whom insist on logging out BEFORE leaving party so when they have to be vote kicked to attempt to allow in an active party member it instead fouls up and leaves a "ghost" so you CANNOT have 5 members in the party. It sucks! Nobody wants to get stuck through the whole DD unable to even get in an active party.
Back on subject - PvP penalty for leaving match early = fair. I'll even take it should I really really REALLY have to leave a PvP match early due to RL, or other legitimate reasons.
(P.S. - Everyone knows you don't have to pay a cent for this game, but it's polite to pay a little something to Cryptic for all their effort in making it.)

Leaver penalty has done more good than harm in the game so far. It's only a few very rare occasions that a player disconnects, comes back when match is over, and is given the penalty. Well chances are that person would have disconnected from the dungeon party anyway. If it's a PUG party, then vote kick would have been coming. If it's friends, well I'm sure they can either wait or go for 1 run first.
Either way if you were planning a DD run, you should have taken that into consideration when doing a PvP match prior to DD, as a close match can go on for 1-2 hrs.

Character dodges are a loophole around this.

In that case, it should affect PVP entry.

After the first two people drop no one else gets the penalty. You could have dropped if you wanted.
