Hey Guys, I have never been on the preview shard so I'm not sure whats going on with the Black Ice Gear, but I was just wondering with the new Black Ice gear from what i have heard, they will have greater stats + tenacity. Does that make the Grim/Profound PvP set useless? I dont want to waste my time farming glory points on these gears when I can get way better stats with Tenacity on the new B.I.G.
I had a similar guy just the other day in a T2 dungeon. He queued up with 8k GS, all blues and greens, just enough to get passed the limitation. Of course did we not kick him, but I did point out to him that he should first start with farming T1 gear before going into a T2, or else he will only make it more frustrating for others when he lacks in much everything.
I am sure same will apply here. Black Ice Gear will very likely not simply drop from a boss and starting with the Grim and Profound gear will likely be easier than farming all the components needed for Black Ice Gear. I am assuming it needs to be made from components what I gathered so far...

Word on the cyber-street is that (most) TRs will be sticking with the Profound Gear because of the stealth bonus. Other classes most likely will switch over to BI Gear. I have a CW, GWF and HR, and I plan on running them all in BI Gear. The only thing I'm not certain about is the weapon set. It may be better to keep the Fomorrian (sp) or Fallen Dragon set.
I wont be running it just because of the time commitment. I want to have things I grind for like my enchants/artifacts that are set. I don't want to waste my time grinding for temporary gear/enchants that you also cannot even use all the time due to the long crafting times.

Once it's made, it's made. You don't have to make it again. To charge it up, yes, you do need Black Ice.

We'll see.
Have you tested the BI gear for HR? I took a look at them on preview today and the set bonuses seemed really weird (control bonus?!). I think I may continue grinding for profound for the run speed and 2% heal on deflect.
Tons of regeneration seems kind of cool on the purified set but there's zero offensive stats.

Think they're still tinkering with the set bonuses on some BI sets.

I believe they're fixing the HR Profound Set bonus so the HP healed no long crits.
i wont wear the new set on my tr and i starting to think that the BI gear for hr is kind of a trap: losing HP, tons of armor pen, movement speed, tons of deflect for what? crappy bonus set and some crit and regen?
the gears dont even have good base tenacity values..

'For What,' is exactly the question I have haunting my mind in a casual but increasing manner and intensity...
...I just spent aprox. 20min Google Sifting for a calculated and spelled out depiction of the stat totals for the different GWF/Prof Sets, but found nothing. I may just add em up myself and through up a post on the forums so others might benefit from the info at a glance of the total comparisons.
My question is then this, do any know of an already contrived list that similarly (and more importantly already presents this information?
Any helpful insight would be appreciated.
I am guessing/planning to log in momentarily and then BlackIce/HotnowDomination it up until from an internal rage/frustration build up after pug'n with people who love the, 'why-should-i-fight-on-Point/The Pad?!?' syndrome. So likely ganna bust out a calculator and do that for the GWF/Profound/BlackIce Sets in an hour or two. If history is as it is and still immutably cyclic, and the weekend Pugs prove just as fantastically stressing as in the past.
(If you read this and do not know, and are in game or can be/or Voip'n with NW players please inquire and reply.)
Thanks!
